I've not played with bikes for years but this COVID lockdown has meant I'm fixing my kids bikes .. a lot. My Children had thrown their bikes in and out of the garage with their usual speed and they'd damaged some of the derailers and these had to be replaced. To do that you needed to break and repair or replace the chain. I looked through all the different chain breakers on offer, well I tried a couple of others and this is the one I should have got in the first place. Its small (but not too small) strong but light, compact and has the chain stay all built in. Great tool, great brand, great value for what it - if you need a chain breaker, I would recommend this one.

Solid, lightweight and does the job - and I'd never split a chain or anything before but this managed easily and comes with everything needed to perform the task in a nice little self-contained package.Small enough to fit in my saddle bag with a couple of quick links after getting caught out miles from home.A brilliant little bit of kit, well worth the money.

Much smaller than I expected, I struggled to grip it properly sometimes with my chunky fingers.But considering its small size, it's very sturdy and does the job. I've used many chain tools, cheap and not so cheap. Most have worked in that they take a chain link pin out, but only a couple have been up to the job of putting a pin back in straight and securely. This one does the job.I've also had chain tools where the pin push rod has deformed under pressure - never had this problem with the Topeak one. The only negative is the chain hook isn't all that good. I don't use one anyway, but tested it to see if it was any good. Several times, it just popped off the chain when the chain was moved to get to the pin.

This is a quality tool, strong and compact.Easily stored and made to last. I like how well it is designed.I used it to remove and reinsert chain rivets and it did the job easily. I bought it to replace another that the tip broke on after not using it properly. This tool is designed differently and it's not possible to break the tip of used with care (correctly aligned).I would recommend this whether it stays in your shed or garage or is included in your kit for emergencies on the go.

This is a great bit of kit, small enough and light enough to consider taking with you if you like a full kit

I own a couple bike chain tools but neither is as compact as this Topeak offering. I carry mine in the seat post bag. It is lighter and smaller than it looks. What attracted me to this tool was the detachable lever used to force out/in the chain pin AND the chain retaining spring which is seldom found in a chain tool. The chain retaining spring is a kind of '3rd hand' which prevents the chain ends from separating whilst the pin is driven out/in from the chain link. It maintains the required slack whilst the repairer, using both hands, effects repairs. Nothing can be worse than both ends of the chain suddenly parting and unravelling itself from the gear-changing mechanisms then having to feed it back through the gears: a dirty job.This chain tool is competitively priced too.

got this to add to my toolbox, as yet not had an opportunity to use it - thankfully, no one wants a broken chain.

The ends of the wire clip had to be filed smooth. Other than that it's a great product.

Satisfait de ce produit. Compact et donc pratique à prendre avec un minimum d’outil en balade. M’a déjà dépanné deux fois lors de casse en chemin. Très efficace et robuste. Utilisé sur chaîne SRAM 12V.

Weil der Kettennieter ist ziemlich klein ist, kann er problemlos verstaut werden. Das Reparieren von Fahrradketten ist mit dem Werkzeug problemlos möglich. Wenn das mir als absoluten Laien gelingt, kann das wirklich jede/r. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die solide Verarbeitung.Ich kann das Werkzeug sehr empfehlen

Pas encore utilisé, acheté pour mettre dans une pochette de dépannage. Pas trop lourd mais suffisamment costaud pour être utile et compact

Como digo en el título, es una auténtica miniatura, con una presentación excelente, todo súper compacto. Aún no la he usado pero estoy completamente seguro que va a funcionar, nada más que verla se nota su calidad. Es perfecto para llevarlo en la bicicleta.
