Pick guard is not Floyd Rose friendly, you might need to drill a bit for the jack socket wire
It sounds great and was fairly easy to fit, I imagine they fit standard strats perfectly. I installed to a charvel so-cal and had to widen the gap on the plate for the bridge to accommodate the Floyd rose… hacksaw, file, sandpaper and patience is my tip for that. The little wires that connect the socket to the rest of it, have a connector on the end, to get it through the hole in my body I had to widen out the hole, so be prepared for that. But if you did woodwork at school, these things shouldn’t put you off buying.

Should have got this sooner
What you’d expect from EMG, the tone is 10x nicer on any setting. I play with the middle tone pot at zero and it sounds incredible. Great shipping, very easy to fit (under 10 mins including re-string for me) and looks fantastic. Highly recommended

You want your Strat to sound good dont you?
Doesnt make me sound like Mr Gilmour but they are good, higher output then my American Strat that they went on. the active tone controls are a little confusing but the tonal aspect is there. They are noise less as well so dont give any hum, and they dont affect your strings as much so the intonation is better

Quality upgrade
I put this in to my 1982 Strat which has always annoyed me since I bought it all those years ago with the single coil hum issues.... I am blown away be the new sound I am getting... the tone controls take a bit of getting used to but I highly recommend this product.

Good Product, Couple of Minor Problems but Easy to Fit
Very good piece, completely changed the sound of the guitar, fitting was easy as was solderless. Couple of things worth noting though for anyone else using this for a build: I was working with an 8 year old Squier Strat and was unable to fit the wires from the output jack through into the main body of the guitar to attach to the pickguard. Had to use a drill/chisel combination to widen the hole. This was no problem at all, but for anyone expecting this might fit straight in with no problems it might require a bit of work first! Only 10 of the 11 screws overlapped with the holes already in the guitar. 10 holds it on absolutely fine, and anyone looking at it would be very unlikely to spot this but is worth noting (this is more likely due to my guitar as it is quite old and was not expensive at time of purchase, also is a Squier not a Fender, maybe would be different if using a better guitar as a base!) Although this being said I had no issue with fitting the D battery in the guitar body underneath the pickgaurd, which was a bonus! Two criticisms: One of the wires (green) actually detached from the output jack with very little pressure being applied to it. I had to solder this back on (which was the thing I was trying to avoid hence buying a solderless set). This wasn't a massive issue because I had an old soldering iron lying about, but people might be purchasing this as they either don't own one or are not comfortable using one, just something to bear in mind. Second criticism is minor/cosmetic: the plastic casing that toggles the pickups is very loosely fitted and comes off easily but is nothing some super glue or replacing couldn't fix. Overall happy though, very nice sound and appearance as well as being relatively easy to fit - good buy for someone looking to revitalise an old guitar or for a fresh project build.

Over the moon
Hi, I bought this emg dg20 from masquare, I am absolutely over the moon with the item, to actually sound like Dave Gilmour himself is something else, it's a pleasure to play my strat again, once again thankyou

GREAT
I used it to replace the original pickups in my strat to hopefully sound more like David Gilmor
