Updated - perfect from 21m
Updated June 2023 and upgraded from 3 star review:I think I bought this a little too early, so felt I needed to update my review to give this brilliant little toy the credit us deserves. From 18m our grandson started to use it and by 21m it was pretty much all he wanted to play with at our house. He chose to use it rather than a buggy when we walked down town. To start with we’d take a buggy with us in case he tired and the bike is easily light enough to carry or pop in the buggy handle. Now he can scoot it round for a mile or more to the park to feed the ducks or to his toddler group so we don’t use the buggy at all. Despite all the use it’s had it’s still in decent condition and we will save it for his younger brother. The wheels are scuffed naturally and the hub caps fall off but are easy to push back on. Excellent value for money. Our 15 month old grandson was making a nuisance of himself at the park heading for all the bigger children’s bikes and scooters and trying to push them around. So I looked for a toy for him which was more age appropriate. On the face of it this looked a great buy. To an adult eye it looks good, it’s sturdy and appears safe. The trouble is he has no desire whatsoever to sit on it and complains when I try and put him on it! For some reason it does not attract him and he continues to ignore it in favour of other children's toys!!

Great first bike for a one year old.
We already had an Islabike Rothan, first child nearly onto pedals but not quite, and a second child approaching balance bike age. I was quite sceptical about this (probably a bit of a bike snob), but it has turned out to be a brilliant stopgap. She got the idea very quickly and zooms around the house on it. She has just about graduated onto the proper balance bike now, but this gave her a good headstart in learning how to push with her feet, and she still really loves it. It's lightweight and sturdy.

Our grandchildren fight over it!
Need I say more. We bought this for our granddaughter (2) and she really likes it; however our grandson (4) likes it too, so guess what happens. Anyway, overall it is great for her to ride and scoot along on, and also helps her with balance, etc. It is quite narrow, and doesn't look brilliantly stable sideway, but this hasn't been a problem for us, probably as the children have their feet on the ground anyway, so it doesn't fall over.

Best bike for smaller toddlers
I have twin toddlers and they are tiny, weighing 11kg each at age 2. We tried a range of balance bikes, including the Frog Tadpole Mini, but they found them all too heavy.Got given one of these second hand, and they liked it so much I had to buy this second one so they could ride together. The ride is harsh compared to pneumatic tires, the traction is meagre, but for a tiny kid the lightness triumphs over all. I can't wait for the day my twins graduate to something with brakes as the speed they get on this is terrifying, but until then at least they're riding something.

Great starter bike for little ones
The lena bike / scooters seems very little at first but our boy loves it and he would ride it all the time outdoors and indoors. It's sturdy and after weeks of heavy use it's still doing great. I would highly recommend it.

Good starter bike
Good little toddler bike. Nice and light. Got it for a fairly good price. Ideal starting point for toddler to learn how to ride a bike.
