L'Oréal Men Expert Pure & Matte Gel Moisturiser, 50ml

I use this product often when the weather is a bit warmer or I know I'm going to be in a hot environment for a few hours. Sweaty tube carriages, I'm looking at you!It's clean and fresh smelling and it absorbs quickly with very little trace left on the skin.I use no more than a pea-sized amout for each side of my face and it seems to last the day. A little goes a long way.Whilst it continues to be priced around the £5 mark I'll continue to buy it. It definitely reduces the shine and removes the slippy sebum film that can develop on greasier skin. It is particularly good on the forehead area.

This stuff is good, I'll start off with that. I use moisturiser to get rid of the tight feeling of skin after a shower/wash and also to avoid dry skin. A lot of moisturisers are 'oil' free but grease you up good and proper anyway, this one is a gel and I don't feel like I've rubbed butter on my face after using, which is surely a plus. The tube doesn't last long but does everything a moisturiser should without blocking your pores or leaving you reflecting light from your face like someone just polished you... or greased you. I doubt I will look for another moisturiser, so in one tiny way a part of my life is now complete.I'd also like to say, make sure your girlfriend doesn't get hold of it because I am sure it is a better moisturiser than hers and she will not know how much she needs to use and it's not cheap stuff so she needs to lay off or find herself a new house where she can use her own damn products and not steal the ones I've worked hard to find and then spent my hard earned cash on and another thing she always hides it from me in the bathroom or in her makeup bag or in her handbag when she takes it to work and like, really, I have to send text messages to her to locate my face care products? IS THIS THE STAGE WE HAVE REACHED THAT YOUR THINGS ARE YOURS AND MINE ARE COMMUNAL PROPERTY!?!?!Ahem, rant over, nice face stuff.

My skin tends to shine, although it only really annoys me when I am being photographed or, worse, being filmed. Back when I was making some videos I had been given some matte gel, which worked wonders with the shine and which I tended to put on only when I had to be photographed, but one of my daughters discovered it and before I knew it, it was all gone. When I enquired into its price, I was astonished - and hence a search for something a little cheaper.This product seeks to moisturise as well as reduce the shine of the skin. It's not quite as good as a regular moisturiser (I generally preferred a Nivea for men one), and it's not in the same league as my previous matte gel for reducing shine, but overall, and for daily use, it is pretty good.Recommended - but L'Oreal, I am worth a bit more (at the same price, please)!

Usually combine this with their (L'Oréal) charcoal face wash and hence go for a freshen up whenever I get chance (usually never at the moment). Started using this cream after I found my face was oily yet dry which caused a rash after wearing masks for hours on end at the hospital. At first I wasn’t impressed but after a short trial I did notice the difference and managed to get on top of my ‘mask rash’ - non greasy and does last several hours (combine with a fresh surgical or FFP3 mask - don’t bother with dirty reusable ones unless you actually wash them between every use... and purchase a reusable mask with proven efficacy - most are a joke). Subtle scent and quickly absorbed.Would wait until Amazon reduce the price to around £3-£4 (which they regularly do) rather than pay over over the odds for no reason!

I'm one of those unfortunate people who's face just wants to shine. From the moment I've stepped out of the shower and dried myself there is already a slight sheen creeping through. So I thought I would give this product a go.I applied a small peas size amount, rubbed it into my hands and then worked across my face, particularly the 'T' zone across my forehead, nose and cheeks. It dried pretty quickly and to my pleasant surprise it does hold back the shine! I noticed a little shine on my temples by the end of the day, but far far less than I otherwise would have if no product was applied.You can see by the photo how big the bottle is, so using a pea size amount means this will last a while, so overall good value for money.If you found this review useful, please click the helpful button, thank you.

This is a good product which i use all the time but its very Expensive on here, as in the shops its only £9 or less if you can get hold of it.

The bottle did feel a bit small when I opened the package, however I've found that you only need a small amount to cover your whole face and neck - this moisturiser spreads well and is absorbed really quickly into the skin. My skin feels so soft that I end up rubbing my cheek for a good 5 minutes after it's dried in, and my skin feels just as good when I finish work 8 hours later.I have quite dry skin but I hate oily face products - this is the perfect blend of all day moisture with absolutely no shine.Would recommend.

Bought this for my head rather than face, and I use it after I razor shave to avoid the shine. Seems to have a matte affect that reduces shine and I have noticed a difference so I guess its doing what it should. No smell and it absords well enough but quite a small tube for the price, so I cant see it lasting too long. Overall I am happy with it though and I guess you get what you pay for!

Having the moisturizer in gel form makes it absorb so much easier, where as most creams seem to leave an oil residue and sometimes a strange smell. There is absolutely no shine, and it smells really good. It's really the best moisturizer I have used so far and I would say the price is fair. I've been using it once a day after a pore scrub, and my usual red irritated and oily skin looks much smoother and calmer now. Finally found something that works for me, I will definitely keep buying it.

I firstly love the smell of the product. It is quite different from any other skincare product I have bought before. I also like the grey colour. All of this might seem minor, but it adds to the experience of using the product.It seems to help with my oily skin and it does give it an (almost) immediate matte look. I only use this in the morning as I sometimes have the feeling that it makes my skin a bit dry. If one uses a product at night which is for moisterizing it balances out with this product. I am not sure if I woukd recommend this to someone with a very dry skin.It is a bit expensive, which tempted me to give it only 4 stars, but I do not have any problems when using the actual product and therefore I am satisfied to pay a bit extra.

Love this product best for oil control

Justo lo que estaba buscando. Una hidratante de calidad y que ayuda a evitar el exceso de brillo en los que tenemos una piel muy grasa. Fácil de extender y en cuanto a sirve deja la piel mate y sin tirantes ni efecto “capa”.

Ho provato differenti creme per pelle grassa e sono state un disastro.Con questa mi sono trovato bene, il prezzo è valido e non mi diventa la fronte unta di sebo.Lo ricomprerò.
