I love it!
I have been loving this little kitchen addition. The quality is about what you would expect for the price tag. It seems sturdy enough, I'm not certain it will survive in my kitchen for decades, but if I get a good few years out of it, I'll be happy. It makes making burgers really easy. I used to just make and shape burgers at home, by hand, but they would often lose their shape during cooking. This will allow you to compress the burgers much better. It also makes portion control much easier, if you pair the press with some scales, so you can weigh each burger and get an accurate read on how much protein your getting, etc.I've found it good with all manner of burger mixes too, be it beef, lamb, pork or turkey, aswell as some bean and pulses based burgers aswell. This comes with some really handy waxed paper disks, that help to extract your burger after compression and to keep the press from getting too messy, when using slightly wetter burger mix recipes (I made some Tandoori turkey burgers and the mix was wet and contained spices that would stain, the disks helped prevent too much of the mix getting over the equipment, making cleaning easier)You can buy replacement disks on Amazon too, but they are quite pricey. I've used all mine up and I now cut out squares of baking paper to use instead.I can't compare it to other brands, but if you want an effective press, that can make upto 1/4lb burgers, is easy to use and clean, then you can rest assured this will do the job.

Nice enough for our Burger Saturdays
Easy enough to use and a decent size and well made. If filled, it takes about 120g of meat per burger. The photograph above shows 4 burgers using a total of 520g of meat. I've been using only 1 paper liner, placed in the bottom of the press, per burger. That allows them to come out of the press easily and to be stacked on top of each other without sticking together and so cuts the number of sheets used. If I don't use a liner, the meat sticks in the press and doesn't come out cleanly. I only make a few of these on a Saturday, so the press is fine. If I had to make more and more often, the press is too basic and too slow. I hand wash it afterwards and it cleans very easily. I haven't put it in the dishwasher, so don't know if the coating will strip, though I suspect it would.

Would Not Be Without It!!!
I absolutely love this burger press. In order to make a decent burger first of all you need great ingredients. I make mine out of good quality beef mince with 15% fat and I add to this some decent pork sausage meat. There are many recipes on the internet for you to try but I have found that if you go by instinct and ingredients you love you cannot go wrong. The burger press makes the whole process of making the perfect burger a breeze. I weigh the meat mixture to about four and a half to five ounces as this seems to produce a burger that is not stingy at all and not too thin. The press itself is truly non-stick and you just need to shake the burgers free from it. I then put wax circles on the two sides of the burger and pop them in the freezer on a baking tray. After freezing they get put into a zip lock bag and voila, I have gorgeous burgers that can be defrosted and cooked in no time. It really is worth the effort and if you want to impress your friends this summer at your BBQ then you simply must buy this. The press is completely dishwasher safe too so no problems there. I used to make burgers that ended up like cannonballs but now they are great for properly fitting into a burger bun. Perfect!!!

Simple to use, consistent results, easy to clean and stores very easily when not in use.
Solid and simple, this press is easy to use and - importantly compared to other designs - easy to clean.I've previously had one of the plastic ones with a spring-loaded plunger, and having 'upgraded' to this simpler version, have some to realise that all that additional functionality just made for a bulkier press, more nooks and crannies for raw meat to get stuck in (making it harder to clean) and that I was actually over-compressing my burger patties. All you really want from a burger press it to be able to get a uniform shape and thickness. Other than that, you want your meat to be as loose as possible so that there's plenty of room in the patty for the juices to flow around - tight enough to stay together, and no tighter. This press lets you get that result very easily as you can feel exactly how much pressure you're applying, and if you're doing so evenly. It's no slower to use than any other style of press, and requires no extra effort unless you're comparing it to one with a lever, but I'd argue that lever-pressed burgers will be entirely too tightly packed, so it's not really comparable. When you're done, this cleans easily and packs away into a very small size, especially if you remove the handle. If you get any press other than this style, you're over-complicating things and likely getting a less tasty burger in the process.

Good product
I was sceptical before buying this item, but after making my first burger, I am happy with the product. It does the job as advertised.

OK but…
Produces large diameter burgers which tend to fall apart during cooking. Not that easy to remove burger from press, I had to use a blunt knife to run around edge to free burger. It would be better if the base was detachable from the rim. On the plus side a very sturdy easy to clean product.
