Creating Felt Artwork: Felting & Stitching

Absolutely stunning book! It arrived about an hour ago, and I am delighted with it. It’s lovely to find a book where the Authors are so generous with their knowledge, sharing it step by step, with a lots of lovely photos and explanations too. Their love of this medium shines through every page and oozes enthusiasm by the bucketful. I ordered it because it includes free machine embroidery in detail, but it’s all so stunning, that I will be trying it all out. I appreciate the wider spacing between lines in this publication, as it makes it so clear and easy to read.

As an experienced felter, I suspected that this would be too much of a beginner book and on opening it, it did seem that way. There are step by step explanations on how to felt and clear photos. Taking the approach that there is always something new to learn as everyone felts differently, changed my attitude. This is an excellent book. It is short because it is so clear and precise. Choosing to follow one project from beginning to end means that all aspects are covered at the right moment. The tips are invaluable, especially the ones on sewing felt as here I have much to learn. An excellent book for beginners and more experienced felters who are open-minded!

Nicely written and illustrated, but mostly about wet felting and only touched on the other techniques, which I found disappointing.

Great book full of inspiration. Very well thought out detailed information on techniques (especially free motion sewing). You are not assumed to know anything already so great for beginners too.

Well illustrated nice clear graphics, good instruction. I did feel the book could have gone further with more examples of techniques to explore but perhaps that's the next book. Well worth the money am pleased with it

This is a beautiful book. The instructions on how to wet felt are clear and easy to follow. The colour pictures help to explain how to complete a picture which can be copied exactly from the book or you can make your own. It has plenty of tips and is really easy for a beginner to follow. The book is quite thin but we'll worth the money. If you are new to felting I would definitely get this.

This seems a very comprehensive and interesting guide. I'm looking forward to following the guide and experimenting when I have bought the extra things I need.

Nice little book but not quite what I was looking for. I was hoping for more designs to copy.On the plus side it had clear instructions which seem easy to follow, although I haven’t actually made anything from the book yet.
