How can you cook the top of a fried egg in this as surely would break the egg if you tried to flip it? Worried he egg would be undercooked

Actually haven't tried to flip an egg, just cook it slowly and it cooks perfectly right through. I should imagine if you wanted to, you wouldn't have a problem though.

Can I use this to make Paninis? Or better to buy a different machine?

Ive not used thus but my guess would be panini needs a press so extending hinge. If this is just a hinge then there is no "press". Maybe do panini 50% then turn around?
