4 x Rentokil 3 Pack Spider & Crawling Insect Beetle Ants Cockroaches Trap

I am amazed by this product. A very simple concept - a piece of thin card, foldable into a triangle shape (that fastens together at the top via some card overlay) and covered with some very sticky glue (fingers will stick to it, and you will panic slightly at the strength of it). I bought these initially to fend off the house spiders that come into the house in autumn. I'm not particularly scared of them but don't really want them in my bedroom... To my horror, within a week, it had caught an Asian cockroach, about the size of a ten pence (Insert about a thousand girlie squeals here... And that was just from the man of the house!). With no idea whether this was an anomaly or an infestation, we promptly armed ourselves with every cockroach killer we could - the Combat Max, the rentokill spray etc. now, I don't know if the Combat is working (idea being that the roaches munch from the trap and then go back to their nest and die. Then another roach eats them and they die too. Etc). The spray is great - although until they're monster sized, roaches are quite hard to spot. And once you spray them, they move at the speed of lightening (it's really scream worthy!). These traps are fabulous. Whilst they are not getting to the root of the problem, they certainly manage to catch the cockroaches both big and minuscule. The whoppers can be about 4-5cm, and the nymphs are about 0.3cm. As they only come out in the dark (general rule, sometimes you see them in the daytime), these traps give me peace of mind that they are working whilst I am sleeping. Once caught, the roaches take about a week to die. Or you can spray them to instant death. I've attached a picture of something else that got caught in the trap - the "baked bean spider" as it is commonly known. It eats woodlice and can actually bite humans (equivalent to a bee sting apparently). [common in gardens in Southern England] So, thank you thank you thank you Rentokill for this great product. I will be continuing to purchase these for a long time to come!!!

Very fast delivery and these glue traps are fantastic if you are arachnophobic as I am. I live in an old house full of small holes in the floorboards and the last 2 years we have been under siege in the Autumn by giant hobo spiders. This has made my life hell particularly in the bedroom as so scared most night I can't sleep and this year has made me ill with the stress of it all . I put loads of these traps all over the house and over the top of holes and cracks etc and they have trapped so many spiders inc the huge ones as I was doubtful they would be big enough to hold them but they do. I check nightly and if there's any in there my husband removes them and then I turn the trap over and use another side as they are a triangle. Could not live in this house without them now. This year has been so bad that I also bought the pest bye plug ins which have been highly successful there was a big increase in activity when I switched them on as the instructions said there would be but the traps got them as they came out trying to escape the frequency from the plug ins and caught 7 monsters in one evening 4 of which were in my bedroom 😱😱😩😩😭😭 so stressful but now I feel like I'm winning the war from several angles. I was anxious that the traps would get nice insects like ladybirds etc but no only the ugly 8 legged freaks, I think with cunning placement as to where you put them and a bit of research into how these things live and breed you can almost eradicate them , have not seen any for 3 weeks now 😃😃😃

My wife detests creepy things and especially spiders and these simple devices, devoid of toxins, work by the little critter sticking to the internal gluey surface and drying out. They work very well and can collect quite a menagerie of bugs. We ahve them pretty much everywhere, quite discreet.

I had already reviewed these when I first bought them a few years ago, but felt I had to update my review as they are even better than I first realised. I have at least 8 of these down at any one time and have caught many spiders, some quite a fair size (to my horror). I had wondered if they were capable of trapping those monster spiders you get and unfortunately I recently discovered they are! Came down to the kitchen at 5am the other morning to find a MASSIVE spider, the size of the entire trap stuck fast! I completely freaked out and had to wake my husband to get rid of the whole trap. If I hadn't been so traumatised I'd have taken a photo to show you all just how good these are. And the trap in question had been down for months and was a bit dusty inside but still was able to catch a monster. I came here to buy more as I only have a couple left and felt I had to update my review. I hate that we have so many spiders in our house (I call it the House of Horrors) and am amazed at how many spiders there are given that I don't see them out with the traps very much (and I'm always looking), but I'd rather they were getting caught up than roaming free, especially as my husband works away form home a lot and I refuse to sit downstairs after dark! I am severely phobic, have even tried hypnotherapy which didn't work (obviously haha!) but I can't recommend these highly enough! I feel so much safer when I have these in the house and can't wait for my order to arrive so I can put out more!

I have placed these around the house for over a month but not a single spider was caught in these and have found spiders in the vicinity of these traps. Wouldn’t recommend. A good old fashioned spring cleaning will offer far more superior results in getting rid of spiders.

I ordered rentakil version as advertised but recieved a different brand ( one i never heard of ) I don't think these are as good quality, i have had the rentakil ones before and they do work if used properly.
