The thinking guitarist's capo!
Great Capo. It's not as easy to use as the spring loaded ones, but this one allows you to adjust the tension so that you don't over bend the strings. It means that fretted notes above the capo are closer to the desired pitch. I found with the springy, "clampy" type capos that quite often the guitar would sound out of tune when fretting above the capo.In terms of use, it's pretty simple and you will get used to it very quickly. Looks shiny and minimal and seems very durable. It works well on both my Gibson LP and acoustic guitars.

Key and game changer
Watching the totally inspiring Tommy Emmanuel I was impressed by his use of a capo for different soundscapes and how good open string chords sounded ringing out with the capo in a higher neck position. I haven't been a big capo user and for many years have just kept a Dunlop toggle action capo handy, which more often than not put the guitar out of tune. Received this great looking, nicely engineered, C1 Shubb capo and straight out of the packaging it fitted my guitar with no adjustment required and no strings out of tune.I took some time investigating capos but I think I've made a good choice. Conveniently, it clips nicely on the guitar headstock when not in use - though some purists might frown on this idea! Don't tell anyone but Tommy anchors his picking hand on the guitar with his pinky just like Martin Taylor - so that must be wrong too!??

Shubb capos are the best capos.
Shubb capos are the best capos available. So good that people have stolen 2 from me!!I prefer this design to any other, and even though it has been updated, it still feels as hardy and reliable as ever.I highly recommend them as they don't have any faults.

Nice Capo
Unusual design compared to other capos but works very well, I especially like that the tension can be finely adjusted which helps if you find buzzing on a fret. The only con is I've found I can detuned your guitar if you tighten the adjustment too much, but I still like it.

Very neat little capo that works really well
So happy with my new capo which replaces an old spring loaded type. The adjustable mechanical action works beautifully and holds the strings down firmly without any buzzing. Very well made and unobtrusive. I absolutely love it

The Shubb C1N is incredibly easy to use. It has a simple, intuitive design that makes it easy to place on the neck of the guitar without any hassle. The adjustable screw mechanism ensures that you can clamp it tightly to your desired fret, which is crucial for maintaining proper intonation. It doesn’t feel overly tight or too loose, making it easy to adjust as needed without worrying about damaging the strings. One of the standout features of this capo is its ability to maintain tuning stability. Brilliant & beautiful
I’ve owned an original Shubb capo for years, which I bought back in the days when there was only one version. That one still works perfectly, but I needed an extra one, so I chose this one. It is unnecessary ostentatious, which is wonderful: I smile a bit every time I use it, because it is beautiful as well as being functional and well designed and engineered.
