Secure Fix Direct 800Kg Ace Wire Rope Hoist Winch - 1250Kg Pull Expert Lift 0.8 Ton 1.25 Shear

Arrive 2 days earlier than expected. I used Tirfor Jacks in the Army.Needed a similar jack to pull out some tree stumps. Purchased the 800kg and what a well constructed piece of kit.I have 2 issues.1. Unpacked the jack and set it all up. The handle was extremely difficult to go over the operating lever. I had to force it on to a suitable depth to operate the jack. When the time came to slacken off the wire I couldn’t remove the handle. It was on too tight.Had to revert to a piece of scaffolding tube over the other lever which was fine. On packing the equipment away, I couldn’t remove the handle and had to turn the jack upside down on my bench and use a piece of wood and a mash hammer to knock the handle off.Contacted the seller and asked if he sent the wrong size handle. He repleid “ Yes it is a bit tight but will ease with use”. Please make the internal dia a little bit larger.2. I would have liked a 5m rope along with 15m rope. Think I will cut mine.Apart from the above great piece of kit.

Nicely made product. Very nicely finished and good packaging.Not suitable for stump removal.On the 3rd shear pin (you’ll need some spares) for a 2” diameter hawthorn stump. Not sure what little plants this might work for, or whether you’re heavy to dig the whole thing out then just pull It out with no resistance? What’s the point!Should have bought the 3200kg lift/5000kg pull, seems OTT for little stumps though

Works very well indeed for such an inexpensive version of this sort of ratchet cable winch. I use it only occasionally so cannot comment on its durability but it seems well made to me.

Superb light weight winch for all round general use. I bought extra sheer pins incase and found that the winch actually comes with 3 extra pins in the handle so need not have bought the extra.

Great little winch. Used it to launch my boat. Easy to use once I had watched the enclosed DVD that showed me how the release worked.

Ideal for the job I wanted it for, pulling out tree stumps. Neat compact and well constructed

More substantial piece of kit than expected. Seems well made, wire ropesoft and easy to handle.
