Appalling
Simply does not sound anything like a chanter. Poor quality high out he'd squeeze. Have played pipes for 40 years and never heard a chanter make a noise like this

Not a bad instrument but the reeds were no good
For a beginner this isn't bad but expect to buy quality reeds for a playable instrument.I wanted to learn the bagpipes as an extension to other wind instruments I play, I didn't want to invest a great deal to start with so after a quick search I found this product. The product arrived on time and neatly packaged, so far s good. Unwrapping the packaging revealed the case for the instrument. The case was a hard case with a thin leatherette type material glued on, the material was overlapping the ends of the case and was lifting a bit so I had to glue i back into place. The catches are pressed metal and feel a bit thin and flimsy. Overall the case would protect the instrument from being dropped but it looks a bit rough round the edges, not a problem for me as I was more interested in the instrument.Opening the revealed the instrument parts neatly aligned in cut out pockets, on closer inspection, the material holding the instrument in place was a fabric topped expanded white foam which was visible once the instrument parts were removed. The pockets themselves were not lined as you would find in more expensive instrument cases but then for the price point of this instrument it's not a big issue for me.All the parts were present in the case and looked in new condition, the reeds are a plastic construction and fairly stiff with the traditional string binding at the bottom to seal it into the instrument body. Fitting the reeds felt as though it had a good amount of grip and it felt secure that it would not become loose on playing. The instrument body is made out of wood, when looking inside the body the finish is rather rough and not polished in the slightest so my expectations of great quality crisp sounds were lowered there and then. Putting the two halve of the body together proved to have a good amount of friction grip, enough to not give any concerns of the instrument falling apart during use.Now for playing it, first impressions are that the instrument required an inordinate amount of air pressure to get the reeds to sound true so I ran out of breath before I got to play anything. This is a result of the reeds being too rigid and they struggled to play the correct pitch sounding more like you are killing a duck before getting to the right note.Breaking down the instrument after playing was uneventful until it came to the reed and the string binding on the reed became unravelled meaning it was destined for the bin, yes I could have re bound it but I just didn't have time. The instrument fit back into the case snuggly with no rattles or movement, which was reassuring that it was protected. So, would I buy this instrument again? For me, personally, Yes. However! I would budget for buying a good quality G1 reed to go with it, which can be nearly as much as this instrument. You then have to weigh up, how serious are you about playing because you wouldn't be far off the price of a good quality instrument and reed by the time you add everything up.

Good product
Good product but not great. In retrospect I wish I had spent twice the money for a better chanter but for the price I cannot complain.

Blowing hot air no sound.
Very blurred photocopied instruction manual. Reeds do not work and as I'm a novice have no clue how to correct the problem or if the problem is correctable no information on the Reed apart from a vague insertion method. Poor quality reeds if the product does not work then its not value for money.
