MS LUMIA 650 - A GREAT PHONE FOR NORMAL USERS
This is the second Windows phone I have owned and I have to say I am very very pleased with the MS Lumia 650. Having been issued with various i-phones for work, and finding them all awful, for my personal use this phone is just what I need. The phone arrived well packaged and on-time so a big thank you to the poster. Straight out of the box the phone was easy to put together and the first thing I noticed was the lovely build quality. The case feels solid and robust whilst retaining a slim, lightweight profile. I was surprised at the screen size. Even though I'd noted the measurements it still looked bigger than I had anticipated. The transfer of all of the data from my old windows phone to the MS 650 took only minutes. The phone itself is so easy to use. I love the Windows tile system that mirrors my laptop and the colours are crisp & clear, especially in bright sunlight. When reading the reviews on this phone I had anticipated battery issues but so far the battery lasts easily 48 hours with normal use (phone calls, texts, email, browsing the web, FB, Twitter, WhatsApp). I am not a gamer so this is not an issue for me but I do use my phone instead of an MP3 player in the gym. Again this doesn't seem to have put any additional strain on the battery. I have also found as many apps as I need in the app-store. I know apple offer more but personally I have found most of the apple apps to be a waste of time unless you follow fashion. The MS 650 is more about style. So to sum up - (the positives) - Great build quality, slim, lightweight, lovely screen & colours, quite a good battery for normal users, plenty of free apps, easy to use, reliable. (negatives) - Needs a protective case.

Decent mobile phone... but soon to be useless when it comes to useful apps
It's a decent mobile phone for those basic features, such as: placing / receiving a call, getting voice mail, text messaging, address book, appointment calendar, emails on Outlook and the occasional web browsing. The phone’s screen is the right size (just about 5 inches) and light weight too. The GPS and maps application is also useful... when it works. The CPU in this phone isn't powerful enough for Windows 10 Phone, so it does lag and struggle to do things. The Edge browser struggles with many websites, and it crashes now and then with multiple tabs open. The camera is OK, although I miss the dedicated camera button on the side of the device like in my previous Lumia 835 mobile phone. I've had it for almost a year now with few problems. It does what it was intended to do... to be a no nonsense smart mobile phone. However, it's soon to be useless when it comes to useful applications... My bank's mobile application will no longer be supported on Windows 10 Phone after February 2018. Add to this bad news, there are less and less useful and decent applications anymore. It's a matter of time before my Uber, WhatsApp and Bus Due applications will no longer be supported on Windows 10 Phone. It's a shame... I stuck with Windows Phone because it was a great alternative to iOS and Android. Plus I thought the Microsoft acquisition of Nokia's mobile phone business would develop a Surface Phone. Alas, it wasn't meant to be... Off to look at comparable Android mobile phones within the price range to meet my smart mobile phone needs in 2018... :-(

Pleased with new purchase. Meets expectations.
OK. So, if you've not had a Windows phone before, you should realize there are a few differences between it (Windows phone) and Android or Apple. I would say that the response time is a tiny bit slower. Android jumps to do your bidding in a microsecond or four and Windows does, well, take its time a bit. But in every other respect Windows 10 on this phone is very smooth. The screen is a good bit larger than my previous phone - the Lumia 635 - and the screen is crystal clear. I like how all the settings are laid out, I like how the connected accounts are set up and then forgotten. Security also seems reliable. My impression is that this is an excellent phone for anyone who is happy with Windows on their desktop or tablet. Android users might consider it a little sluggish. Apple users would feel cheap buying something in this price range. Great value and quality, in my final opinion.

Very good phone
It's a very good phone overall but it has some annoying ways, such as when you want to record a video it will keep saying "something went wrong" after trying to simply record something, which most video recording phones can do easily. Also trying to share things on facebook, you tap the share button sometimes and it doesn't do anything so you sometimes have to switch the phone off and then back on again, and it works fine. The charger doesn't detect sometimes so it will be plugged in but not charging, but this has been working well recent, and it may just be my phone which this happens too. The speakers are brilliant though, loud and good quality sound. The design of the phone is nice and the features on screen, with a lot of well designed applications to use. The phones good value for money. Overall happy with the phone for another year or 18 months, definetely worth buying if you don't mind a few slight irritations sometimes, all off which seem to be ok after restarting the phone.

Stick with a 620 or 630 - avoid the 650
Battery life poor, niue and light but not worth the pathetic 6 hours usage if you're busy. Updated after 2 months: Do not buy it is an awful, awful device. I have had Nokia then Microsoft Lumia's for many years but this phone is effectively unusable, Bluetooth keeps dropping out then crashing the phone, it will behave unpredictably and will need to be restarted once or twice a day. The reception is worth than both the 620 and 630, both will have a signal the 650 won't despite being on the same network. Can only think it is a rushed release which keeps being updated and still not ready or the hardware isn't capable enough to manage what is being asked of it
