Numark M2 - 2-Channel Scratch DJ Mixer, Rack Mountable with 3-Band EQ, Club-Ready Inputs, Microphone Input and Replaceable Crossfader with Reverse and Slope Controls

Surprisingly bigger and heavier than expected. I had to reorganise my “study” to get it in but it does what I want it to do. The inputs allow me to use 2 different turntables, a cd player and my computer system. The line input is either/or switchable so I can put the computer and cd into that. Still working out the phono inputs which have considerable oomph and clarity with a hifi turntable and a dj deck. It will take a while to get used to the volume levels and get to sound how I want. So far so good and I can see this is going to be a lot of fun. Build quality on this borders on bombproof. Very heavy and solid. All this has to do is sit on my desk and control the sound and I feel that it will do the job well and last. Excellent and far better than some of the cheap and nasty things I’ve tried out Nice !

I went for the M2 over the M4 as it has better channel Led's so I can get the gain correct on the cue'd track correct. The mixer is not as small as it looks in the pic, which is a good thing in my opinion. It feels sturdy and robust, has all the inputs I need for a home/hobby dj/scratch turntablist. The knobs feel chunky and have a nice action to them, the faders glide about freely and don't bleed. Over all I am extremely impressed with this little mixer, it's perfect for a hobby dj, looks Great, sounds great and for the price has a good feel of quality. I would recommend

Great mixer, good sound, USB to laptop is brilliant. Easy to use and has plenty "beef" about it. Compact and easy to transport.

Works very well crossfader feels good as a newb on scratching its good for a beginner sound quality is good I'm sure there's probably better but at this price you can't go wronge I would recommend as someone who is a bedroom dj or hobbyist

This is the first mixer I have ever purchased so I have nothing to compare it to. I purchased this to connect to my laptop (which it does) to power a Bose PA system. I can also plug in my phone to another of the inputs and play music on my phone through the speakers. Quality seems really good. Sound quality seems really good. It certainly connects everything together and there is no obvious distortion. I can apply gain and to bring the signal up to where it needs to be. I have no complains. I could have done with an optical input but I knew this did not have one when I purchased it.

I needed a quick replacement as my trusty Vestax-05 Pro SL VCA had finally snuffed it and this Numark model seemed to be a worthy contender. Sadly it did not meet my requirements. The most important aspect of a mixer for me is that it has decent monitoring abilities. I need to plug in a pair of headphones and use it so that it doesn't affect the rest of the house hearing my sick jams. There is no option to do this on the M101USB apart from listening to yourself cueing from either channel. The knobs felt very 'plastic' and light, as did the whole unit itself. Certainly it did not give me confidence that this mixer would survive happily outside the home DJ setup and would probably be bullied by the in-house systems should it ever be used in a club. The USB connection would've come in extremely handy should I have not returned this mixer sharpish. In conclusion, this is sadly one of the downsides of internet shopping in that there is no 'try before you buy' option which would have saved a whole lot of time had I been able to roadtest it before purchasing. Anyway, being the nerdy perfectionist that I am, I cleaned all signs of use and placed everything back in the bags and box as much as possible so that some other soul could find better use from this than I did. N.b. what DOES happen to Amazon-returned products? Are they sold at a bargain price or just returned into the system? Hmmm...

Perfect mixer for my needs. Works really well & comes really well packaged. I transport it in it's original box for gigs.

Although on the weighty side this mixer also packs a punch on performance with plenty of channels and ports for output. Quality sound, knobs and sliders that are smooth moving and so so easy to set up. Gives you confidence during a gig knowing I tv won’t let you down. Value for money for the quality and functions it has is great. I have yet to use the usb but just use mono cables from my DJ decks and or laptop and away we go!

This is a pretty bad mixer with tons of problems. Doesn't keep a consistent volume, crossfader is almost useless, equalisers don't do much. Pretty much unusable.

I seriously bought this mixer to replace some off brand garbage i bought from Radio Shack in the 90s. Numark is an institution in the DJ/Home Stereo Market. And I dont use it for turntables or anything like that. I use it for my home entertainment system which includes Xbox, Wide Screen TV, PSP for MP3 playing, my iPad for Podcasts and more. When output to my Philips Quadraphonic Home Stereo amp and vintage speaker cabs with 12 inch woofers the EQs on this Numark Mixer can really tweak the levels to boost massive bass frequencies and playing with the mids and highs really feels like you are in control of the mixdown of any tracks you pump through it, as well as bringing the voices, score, and sound effects to all new live when watching films. I can't tell you that other reputable DJ brands are better or worse, but I can tell you this: DO NOT waste your money on cheap stereo gear from some name you have never heard of and that hasnt been around for ages. You can't possibly go wrong with Numark mixers. And my personal experience with this one has me wanting to stick with the brand for life.

Whether you're using this as a straight up mixer or just something that you can hook 1-2 turntables into and just use so that the receiver can be compatible. This is a fantastic product that really boosts the overall affect of your turntables. It's fantastic for beginners and for advanced users. It's a straight up mixer that is easy to use and reliable. What else could you ask for in a mixer? This numark product really does do the job and does it well.

I've tasted so far partially and has worked very well, its construction is sturdy (all metal), so I gather that will last many years, especially considering that it will not be used Dj style, but as pre-amplifier Crown XLS-1000 is on the way, and I aspire to have a professional team and one Hifi. In terms of design is very pleasing to the eye and functional as versatile. In summary, I am pleased with the team's why I recommend them.
