Very heavy duty purchase. The spring snaps shut immediately. I have two repairing the straps od my very large and heavy work backpack and one sitting on my desk that I've been playing with. That spring will close on your finger in a heartbeat! Doesn't hurt too bad but speaks to the strength of the spring. The outside of the clip is a very smooth metal. In the image I've placed a zippo for size reference as it was slightly larger than I expected at first. Great buy for the money!

I keep a pack of these in my gym bag because of some of them seem to disappear for whatever reason. I use them on cable machines even though they’re rated higher than the machine capacity. I guess these things just grow legs.

Nice hefty carabiner clips. Turns out I need a smaller size than these . . . so ordered the 3.2 inch instead - but will keep these larger ones for other purposes. I'm using on a Total Gym.

Works like it should

Pretty solid carabiner. This is my second set. Every once in awhile, they won't close properly, but it's an easy fix. Issue is too intermittent to knock off the score. Black paint does come off after some use, but again, that is to be expected when it's pulling as much weight as it does. Overall I can recommend these.

I am a work out guy I use both TRX and Bands these caribeiners are the best on market . I weigh over 265 lbs alway feel safe with these. They will hold like 7000lbs dont know any who lifts that.
