Prompt customer service
We have used these pumps for years in our container ponds. They have good power and are so easy to use. Each one lasts about a year, but recently received one that lasted only a week. The seller quickly offered me a replacement or a refund. Great customer service.

At least 12" X 2'
- Throws water at least 12” x 2' diameter in kitchen sink.- Has a small foam filter instead of the filter bag shown.- The pump-solar power cable connector unscrews.- The solar panel mount has both screw holes and a ground stake extension.- Came with a USB cable that can power pump instead of the solar panel.I want to use this in my back yard "Mosquito Farm" (3' diameter fountain) I currently use a gold fish to keep the bugs from developing. I want to replace the current pump that needs a 40' power cord run from the house with this solar pump to aerate the water spring through fall. Sunlight is less then 10' away so the solar panel cable should reach.Because it currently is below freezing outside I set this up in the kitchen sink with the included USB power cable to test it. Water shot up more then a foot and several inches outside of the sink... Have a MOP handy!

Probably not worth the money
It only lasted about a month...then "kaput". It now lives in the ashes of my burn barrel!

IT works well.
I have bought many different fountain pumps of this kind over the years and I have found their life span to be two to three years.I bought this pump in November and the motor no longer works, although the solar panel is still good.I did find it to have a good jet which worked very well, but I am very disappointed the machine failed so quickly. I do not know if the company will be receptive to replacing this pump on reading this review, if so I will update.

Nice little fountain pump but needs some tweaks ....
The media could not be loaded. I've been wanting to put a birdbath in my front yard as it gets pretty warm in the summer here. I get dozens of birds that come to my feeder as it is so a birdbath would be a nice addition. As I don't have any electric in the area I want to put the birdbath I decided to order this and try it out. This little found can be run by both the included solar panel as well as an external USB power source which is actually really nice if you decided you wanted an indoor fountain instead of an outdoor one. I tested this in my sink with a portable USB phone charger battery and it worked ok. It works much better with the solar panel battery. The pump has a voltage range of 4.8v to 10v and my USB power supply was only putting out 5v. The solar panel has no markings on it though so I have no idea how many volts it's putting out. What I can say though is that using the solar panel battery allowed the spray to be much higher than the USB power supply. With that said, this little pump sprays up pretty high in the air. As you can see from my test that it sprays so high that the water goes outside of the water container. This can be a problem if you have this in a bird bath as it will quickly drain it. The pump also has to be fully submerged for it to function so make sure you have a deep enough bird bath to use this in. As I had already discovered that this would be a problem when I tested in in my sink I am actually going to make my own fountain/bird bath that will use a second pump to keep the bird bath part full of water all the time. I just don't see how I could do this with a normal bird bath as I would have to be manually adding water all the time. The pump is good, its strong and sprays high. I don't know how many hours it will run though on a full day of sun but from what I could figure from the company's website, it could be anywhere from 4 to 10 hours depending on what model this is. There wasn't a matching one on the site. 4 hours is a bit short for a pump that will turn on when the battery is charged enough so we shall see over time. The little caps that are put no the pump to make it spray different patterns are also just so so and don't really make that much of a difference (see my video).Overall I'm excited to see how this functions over the long haul as my initial tests have proven promising. Solid pump, decent solar panel in a metal frame and ran well after only a few hours of charging today.

Works great with USB power from a power brick!
I tested this at first in my kitchen sink with one of my cell phone USB power adapters. I can say that the 9 volt adapter had the pump throw water farther than the 5 volt adapter. When I hooked up the solar panel, I needed full sun in order to match the power of the 9 volt adapter. Otherwise with a haze in the sky, the power output was similar to the 5 volt 1amp USB Power Adapter.Overall, not a bad little pump. The foam around the intake should keep debri away from the intake, and extend the life of the pump. I plan on using it in my mom's garden during the summer, and I think it will work great for that.

Easy to install, needs good sun to be dependable.
This pump was easy to install. Being that it's winter we set it up in the house first to try it out and make sure it would function. I was concerned about it freezing and breaking if it quite running outside. It worked great in the house so we moved it outside. I'm actually using this fountain pump in my water trough to keep the water moving so that it doesn't freeze. It worked great until we had more overcast not so sunny days. It needs good sun to work on a dependable basis. Being as we are located close to a mountain in the winter we don't get very much sun, so when it's overcast there just hasn't been enough to keep it running. I think it will work much better in the spring/summer. Once the weather warms up I will be putting in a pond with fish and I look forward to using this fountain pump for it.
