HG duo unblocker

Great product, my sink has been blocked twice in the last couple of months and this cleared the blockage and got the water flushing through again. Follow the instructions exactly and it does all the work. I've since bought another one just in case I need it. Saves time, energy and stress!

I regret to inform that it does indeed work. I followed the easy instructions and low and behold, the drain is no longer slower than a Zone 1 bus. The smell is very slight so that wasn't the issue. It remains to be seen how long the effects will last.I do however have to mention that I did snake the drain a month ago, which eased the blockage a bit but it was still slow. HG Duo Unblocker did the rest of the unclogging.

Not a miracle solution and quite expensive but water draining much better than it was . Hopefully, at this price, won’t need another go at it.

Used as directed, and easy enough to follow instructions. Left overnight for best results, blockage only partially removed. Not as effective as I thought.

I was sceptical as it’s a very thin formula. Blocked bath drain, I poured in the 2 parts then left for 3 hours. Came back and poured a bucket of water into the plug hole, drained straight down with a whirl pool. Very happy with the result.

I've been struggling for the last week with a blocked kitchen sink, I have tried other well known & advertised products but to no avail in fact I almost think they made it worse.Now I'm a person who reads reviews & nearly all the reviews were positive for the HG Duo Unblocker & this really was my last try doing it myself (I can't afford to get plumber out) I wasn't holding out much hope as the previous products I'd used were supposed to be really powerful & work, I followed the instructions but I did it overnight due to how long it had been blocked for.I came down this morning & the liquid in the sink had gone but this had happened previously with another product so I poured hot water from the kettle in the sink which it started to fill up which I thought here we go again the sink isn't draining. I carried on doing various tasks then after bout 5-10 mins I heard bubbling then the water running in the pipes i checked the sink & it was empty so I ran more hot water in the sink & it drained straight away. I had a bowl of hot soapy water and poured that down & it all drained with ease, the thrill of watching the sink drain was ecstatic which after not being able to use the sink for over a week walking to & from the bathroom to empty bowls of soapy water from doing the pots etc it's amazing when I don't have to anymore I just wish I'd purchased this firstly instead of wasting money on the other products previously.This product will now be a staple item in my cleaning products please don't do as I did buy this product 1st !!!!!

Along with another HG product this one is just as useless. I used the HG "Drain and Plug Unblocker" first and even after much more than 24hrs it had done absolutely nothing. So, as recommended by HG, I then used this "Duo Unblocker" which it is claimed to have the ability to move through the water before dissolving the blockage and this Duo Unblocker is just as useless as the Drain and Plug Unblocker.Now for the worst part of purchasing HG products... HG clearly state that one can get a "full refund" on the purchase of it's products, if they don't work. After reading the conditions attached and the evidence they require, including a plumber's estimate etc. I found that not only will it be time consuming to claim so little back but also stressful to get the evidence they require. For what it would cost to get a plumber, before claiming one's m,oney back, it is highly likely that it would be much, much cheaper to replace a section of the pipe ( the section that is blocked but HG will not make a refund unless one has paid an expensive plumber. That basically means that any DIYer that uses this product has two choices, replace a section of the pipe and make no claim against this useless product or call a plumber and pay an extortionate amount just to make a claim from HG. In other words, one won't get his / her money back after purchase and HG have made it so hard to claim that they know it.After almost three days of having a blocked pipe I do have a plumber coming in five days time but given the conditions for a claim I simply have to write my loss off and remember, from experience, to never use any HG products again.What the HG products, including this one has actually done inside my pipe is to soften then harden the debris so it's become a solid blockage of hard rock like material that is a bit similar to the limescale that one gets inside a kettle so it is difficult to remove but it can be done although not with the LG products that made a simple clearance job into a demolition job.I cannot recommend this product as it simply doesn't do the job one would expect it to do. It will possibly work fine for simple blockages where the waste water still moves down to the sewers but for anything else this is both poor value and a waste of time.
