This socket is 32A so a 15 A plug does not fit. It was more simple for me to buy a 32A plug than return the socket. The machine in my local store could not scan the return code which may have been the fault of my old printer, I do not know for sure. Anyway any faults in the system were down to me and my equipment and when the new plug arrives I will simply re-wire the plug!

Immediately bought a replacement. I'll use it only for as long as it takes the new one to arrive while I'm testing the pressure washer. On the left is the 16A plug this 32A plug replaced. The new one is flimsy, the pins wobble around there's no way this is IP44. I certainly wouldn't trust it outside. The plastic is cheap and general assembly is poor. The cord retention compared to the 16A plug is also carp. There's an internal clamp similar to what you would find on a domestic plug. Just spend the money and get a decent 32A plug that matches the construction of the 13A plug in the picture.
