had my pouch for 4mths and just found i can still get into my car even with car keys in pouch ?

Think yourself lucky your pouches lasted that long. Mine lasted a few weeks when I had the same revelation. My honest opinion, request a refund due to the product being unfit for purpose and instead order a set of much cheaper Defender pouches. A two pack is around £8. I did my homework and found these were rated as being the best product available. They are much bigger but ultimately they do the job. I hope this helps you make a decision.

Are the currently sold key fob bags to the latest manufacturers build build standard?

it certainly does the job and once the key is inside it cannot be detected - even when in the car- the key must be removed from the bag to be recognised.

will this protect my laptop from a lightening strike on my boat?

NO because a laptop wont fit. We recommend using our laptop bag instead

As far as I know there is NO guarantee needed.It is a product made of metal mesh which blocks all signals leaving the pouch. See what the manufacturer says about its product,there are many manufactuers making a similar product working in the same way. I have one myself,and it works 100% as long as you fold it shut. It works using the Faraday principe,and I keep my car keys it it.
