Easy to install
Hooks right up. Easy to install and is pretty bright. No issues on Jeep Wrangler 4xE. The plug gets a little close to the muffler so I wish it had some better heat protection on it.

Bright enough to allow rear backup camera to stay clear at night
Very happy I purchased this for my Jeep Wrangler JL - the backup camera doesn't have a night mode and stays in color mode even in total darkness so you can't see much. This camera fixes that it's bright enough that the day only back up camera works.The only issue specific to wranglers is the muffler is right behind the hitch and the cable provided is too short to route to the side, so you end up with the large connector less than an inch from the hot muffler. Seems to be working ok so far though.

Functions as it should
The only caveat I think should be noted:The diesel Wrangler has the DEF tank skid/cover right up against where the hitch wiring goes. The pigtail should be offered at about 2 inches longer to allow easier securing out of the way...

Failure after 30 days
Worked well for a month. Yesterday noticed the brake light was on when the Jeep was off. Upon depressing the brake pedal the light turned off. Functioning the opposite of desired. Disconnected once I got home and the heat sink was very hot. Will contact Diode Dynamics support and update this review as needed.Really liked it until June 1st.
