Litter Kwitter MultiKatKit

It is a bit early to rate its success, as I only received this four days ago but already my little female Birman kitten is using steps to get up onto the toilet and is using this very happily. 1st day, I removed her cat litter tray, which I already had in the downstairs loo in readiness to start training her and replaced it with the LK on the floor in place of where her cat litter tray was. She had adapted to the LK well so after a day I raised it a little higher and again she adapted well. Third day I put the LK onto the actually toilet and put some steps with treats on each of them leading to the toilet. She started using it straight away, although she seemed to only do a wee on that day, today she did the full business and received plenty of rewards in cat treats. Hopefully, she will continue on this positive note. I will update later when (and I am sure it will be 'when' instead of 'if') she has successfully used the toilet without the assistance of the LK.

It didn’t even fit my toilet seat if I could give it one star I would and my toilet seat is a standard toilet the seats sent were too small

I purchased the Litter Kwitter MultiKatKit because, having already started using the basic Litter Kwitter, our cat was not adjusting to the progression from the initial red stage 1 to the orange stage 2 tray. She would just stare down the hole, and get off the toilet again....resulting in a frustrated cat, full to bursting point, and frustrated humans! So, having bought the intermediate MultiKitKat, she immediately started using the orange tray with a smaller hole. So far, she hasn't progressed to the orange tray with the bigger hole of the Litter Kwitter and soon we'll start trying that. Fingers crossed. So, my story is still "work in progress" and for that reason I give it 4 stars....still hoping that she'll be able to eventually use the toilet without accessories or having to use cat litter. Good quality product, rapid delivery and good value for money. Recommended.

Having bought the base kit, we were having issues trying to progress from red to orange. The cats were really not happy with going from no hole to one they could pretty much climb through. But as soon as I fitted this, after an hour accepting the slight change in surrounding smell, we were quite happily using it, although I did have to wipe it down with lemon anti bac wipes first. Thats what I use to clean accidents so they’re used to that smell, and it took away the fresh plastic-ness smell that they were a bit wary of. We have been able to speed up each step slightly now. Today I’ve just put the intermediate green tray on, and the more nervy of the two hopped straight up and peed almost as soon as it was fitted, again after being wiped with lemon. Thank you litter kwitter for listening to consumer feedback and acting on it.

I bought the Litter Kwitter main kit and started the cat on using it. He is only small, and I found that he backtracked each time I changed the inner tray.These extra trays got him back on track and he is now on the final tray (the one with the largest hole).However, at £30 for the original kit, I feel that these interim sizes should have been included in that, and not charged another £13.75 on top of the original kit. After all, they're just small pieces of plastic.The whole concept is good, but I feel I am being ripped off for the extra bits of plastic, hence only 3 stars

As I wrote in my other review for the kit itself, had two cats on training, green stage, one of them going really well.Then one evening I got home and had the tray knocked into the toilet. Cats refuse to even go near it now, especially the best behaving and better trained one. She's dowright frightened about even going near it. I spent so much time on call every time they went to the bathroom to praise them and give them treats, so many nights barely getting any sleep, so much time cleaning accidents so it would not smell, and all that effort and progress went straight to the trash in one single evening because the makers of this overpriced piece of plastic couldn't be bothered do devise a clipping system or similar that would keep the trays in place.

These two rings should really be included as part of the main Litter Kwitter Toilet Training System. Glad I bought both setsogether. Thanks to these the cat is now on the second orange ring of the combined lot of 5 rings. In my opinion, without these two additional rings the holes are just way too large. Could probably even do with another couple of rings. We've got a very old cat. Taking it very slow is best.

My issue with the product is that the concept is good BUT there is no help. There is no manual to help you if cats behave differently to help you what to do, ie when moved to the next phase my cat peed in the bowl but did other business on the floor. Also the bowl needs to be cleaned after each time the cat has used it (which is fine) but something like a manual to say which cleaning aids, and which litter works best etc.

I needed those two additional levels for my Litter Kwitter. First of all, way too pricey for two pieces of plastic. Second, it is bagged in soft clear plastic bag and shipped in a thin plastic white envelope (not a bubbles one). I would have prefered to be shipped at least in a box. I was afraid my items would have cracked while in transit. They were not, thank God. Happy to have acquired those two items but certainly not happy about the price, shipping and handling.

You need the original 3-tray system in order to use this product, so don't buy this unless you have it already. The size differences between the original 3 trays proved too large for my cats, so the first time I attempted to toilet train them, I made my own transitional trays, first with cardboard (which became soaked and gross very quickly, even when coated with duct tape) then with a plastic cutting board. I had them fully trained for about a month before they regressed after we went on vacation and now that I've restarted the training, the last thing I wanted to do was go back to making my own trays again. I was very glad to see they're offering these transitional trays and I've had a lot of success with them. We're still at the green tray in this set, but it's gone much smoother this time.For those who were frustrated about the liquids getting down around the edges of the trays, this is because of where your cat is squatting on the tray during the early stages. One of mine would do this too, but once we moved to the first green tray, he could no longer squat close enough to an edge to do that anymore. The system is designed to gradually push your cat's position to the toilet seat, so have patience in those early stages and accept that it will be messy until you get to the later stages. There are Yahoo groups you can join for advice on how to go about toilet training your cat and those are very helpful when things get frustrating and you're wondering where you're going wrong (CatsT-Training is the best one I've found for this).
