The TP-Link Deco AX3000 PoE Mesh WiFi system is a total game-changer. From effortless setup to incredible coverage, this WiFi 6 mesh system delivers blazing-fast, stable connections throughout my home. The PoE-powered nodes are a brilliant addition, allowing flexible placement without worrying about power outlets. Ceiling and wall-mount options make installation super convenient while keeping things neat. With 2 PoE ports (1 x 2.5G, 1 x Gigabit), it easily handles high-speed data transfer, perfect for streaming, gaming, and working from home without lag. The mesh technology seamlessly replaces traditional routers, access points, and range extenders—eliminating dead zones and ensuring smooth handoffs between nodes. Plus, TP-Link’s user-friendly Deco app makes managing settings and security a breeze. If you’re looking for strong, consistent WiFi with the latest tech and easy installation, the Deco AX3000 PoE Mesh is a fantastic choice, Highly recommended.

Simple Setup and Solid Throughput!
The units are easy to setup with a no frills system. Once you have your TP-Link ID, you pop them in, get them on-line and they work. Easy peasy! Before purchasing the unit I had some questions that needed clarification and the TP-Link representative Anjanette took their time and provided me with all the info that I needed. Thank you very much Anjanette! It's been about a month and the system is behaving as expected. The Pre-Sales support that TP-link offers is fantastic. If there is one knock I have on this product it is that TP-Link does not offer the ability to limit Port Forwarding to a single External IP. This is not something that is complicated and difficult to implement, and other brands offer this feature in their consumer based products. Other than that, it's a darn fine system and the Deco app allows real-time remote viewing of your setup which is fantastic!

Deco X50 PoE
The TP-Link Deco X50 PoE is an excellent mesh system that provides full-home coverage. While the wireless connection is effective, using a wired Ethernet backhaul dramatically improved the performance and stability across my network. I paired all three Deco units with the TP-Link TL-SG1005P 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch (4 PoE+ Ports @65W) for a seamless setup. If i need to expand coverage, I'll wirelessly connect another Deco unit to the existing network

Easy wifi solution
Works great. The poe functionality makes connecting these a breeze. I have the main deco connected to the router and the other port to a 2.5 poe switch. The other two are connected to the same poe switch (for Ethernet backhaul). The listing shows the x50 as having a gbe and 2.5gbe port but I was pleasantly surprised to find that both ports were 2.5gbe. That made using 2g internet possible throughout the whole house. I mounted all three on the ceiling and the coverage is great. Having just one mounted on the ceiling improved the range compared to a fairly expensive wifi router sitting on a shelf. The router functionality is fairly feature rich, especially for the price point. Obviously there are other solutions out there that can do more and do it better, like custom vlans, but not for this price point.

Finally a POE Mesh Wi-Fi System!
I was excited when TP-Link decided to come out with a true Mesh POE Wi-Fi system. My home had multiple Araknis business Wi-Fi access points that left numerous Wi-Fi dead spots. I replaced all of the wireless access points (all run on POE and attach to the ceiling) with the Deco X50 units. I also paired the Deco X50s with two Deco XE75 routers (one acting as then main unit/router and the other a wireless node running to an area that I don’t have Ethernet cabling run to). So far the system has worked flawlessly and I haven’t found any dead spots. I know neither the X50 nor Xe75 are the newest absolute newest tech, but they work great for my devices and setup (I generally have ~100 active network connections to the router). The only cons I have come across so far are: (1) the web based router interface leaves a lot to be desired and has limited functionality. This means almost everything has to be done through the Deco app. Not a negative for most people, but definitely a downer for others. (2) my X50s attach to a typical electrical box in my ceilings. The bracket that connects the X50 to the ceiling and the electrical box has a lot to be desired for three reasons: (a) it is so small that it doesn’t cover the entire opening of the electrical box - depending on your ceiling height, you might see insulation, paint mistakes etc. (b) it is too flexible (cheap) and results in the X50 looking like it is hanging on one corner, even though it is properly attached (c) it is black - I imagine the vast majority of users have white or off white ceilings - why would the bracket be black? (again depending on ceiling height this might or might not be an issue). (3) going back to the black bracket issue above, the entire top part of the X50s (or bottom if the X50 is sitting on a table) is black. To make matters worse the entire unit is really “thick”. The result both issues is that unit looks pretty terrible on the ceiling and would look even worse on a wall. Why not paint the entire unit white? My Araknis access points were all white, very “thin” and attached to a “thin” but substantial bracket. With all of that said, my ceilings are high enough and the units are working well enough that I will deal with the design short comings.

Love PoE feature in this router
The most important feature is PoE power. It allows using this in areas without a duplex outlet. We got excellent signal range and speed. Why don’t we see more routers with PoE?

Saludos

I'm very happy with this purchase. Speedy delivery and thoughtful placement of the package when I wasn't home. Set up was easy as well. My wifi performance is now much better than previously.

I previously used a TP-Link Deco Mesh Network with three X55 units, which worked great overall, but the unique shape of my house left a few WiFi blind spots. To solve this, I added a TP-Link Deco AX3000 PoE Mesh WiFi (Deco X50-PoE) unit. The compact size and included hardware made it easy to mount on a wall or ceiling, and it was a perfect fit for my setup. This addition gave me the extra coverage I needed, and I’m very satisfied with the seamless performance and flexibility it provided
