Works really well when you use high quality eggs and is simple to setup
This product works really well. My Angelfish bred for a second time and I struggled to hatch brine shrimp to feed to the fry until I tried this hatchery. I mixed 2 teaspoonfuls of sea salt with just over a pint of slightly warm water and carefully sprinked eggs around the outer section. It didn't work with the decapsulated eggs that you can also buy on amazon but i instead bought some great salt lake premium 90% hatch rate eggs on ebay and I had a good hatch after just one night. After dispensing a hatch into the aquarium I found it populates with enough brine shrimp again for a couple more servings before you need to clean it out and reset again. This hatchery is also very useful for separating the shrimp from the egg shells since they swim to the centre where the light is. I also purchased some live baby brine shimp and this hatchery was effective at separating the live shrimp from the eggs. Putting some extra light on the centre with a desk lamp also made it a bit more effective. It doesn't produce huge quantities but is perfect for the hobby aquarist who suddenly has a load of fry to feed. You can also mix with hikari first bites to increase the portion size when adding to the aquarium.

Great👍
This makes it all so simple no air pump looking untidy, it produces plenty for one aquarium if larger scale may be better with a more traditional method of hatching, it works great for me.

very easy to use
I think this is a really good product. So easy to use and you get complete separation of the brine shrimp form the eggs if used properly. Okay, the bubbler hatcheries are maybe more efficient and better for the dedicated hobbyist who has loads of fry to feed, but for most people this will provide plenty of baby brine shrimp in a very hassle free way. Doesn't work very well with eggs re-mixed with salt, so sue separate salt and eggs rather than the pre-mixed stuff.

Works but at a cost
It actually works and it is decent looking. The downside you know already before buying it and that is that the hatch rates will be affected due to the lack of light and ozygen that hatching effectiveness is related to. I used this as second hatcher as I had a standard bubling reverse bottle as a first hatcher and in the standard one I saw baby shrimps after 24 hours whereas this one I saw after 2-3 days only (using same source of eggs and same source of water). However maybe this is even more suitable for Fairy Shrimps that does not require extra ozygen (I will try that next)... In short it is good and nice if you need only limited amount of artemia for the occational fry and if speed and hatching rate is not majorly important, but if you need a reliable stable supply you probably need to go with a system that adds oxygen. As mentioned maybe it can work perfectly for Fairy shrimp (without lid I assume as fairy shrimp needs light to hatch).

Good
Works well, good yield from the eggs

Not great
I couldn't really get the Brine shrimp to hatch in this. Possibly because the room temperature was a little cooler than needed. Have since invested in a slightly larger model that I could put a heater in

For the home user it's perfect
If you are just a home fish keeper and have a single tank, this is a perfect way to hatch brine shrimp. It's easy, clean and isn't a hassle. Just eat it up, fill with saline and add the eggs to the outside area. Then place in a warm / room temp room with an incandescent light bulb above it. The incandescent light provides both light and heat. No bubbling, no pumps no hassle. Just a decent amount of brine shrimp for a single tank for a couple of days. I admit that I do not use their own brine shrimp mix, I am not keep on it. I make my own saline solution and add eggs. I think it's easier and far cleaner that the max if eggs and salt that this band also sells.

Fantastic bit of kit
Does exactly as it says. Honestly this is one of my favourite buys. So much easier than messing about with bottles. Just follow the instructions and 24 hours later I have loads of brine shrimp. Very easy to put together and work. Great price for unlimited uses. Feels pretty sturdy. Defo needed with 4 tanks now up and running so endless food for all my critters

easy to use and no replaceable parts
this is still an excellent baby brine shrimp hatchery, easy to use and to clean… no replacing parts means it last for years. highly recommended.

Perfect for 1 or 2 aquariums with baby fish
Absolutely works, however you need it to be in a warm area or have a heat pad underneath. It does hatch brine shrimp eggs, but only makes enough for one tank that has baby fish. It’s easy to use and can be used daily for fresh live food that can be fed to baby fish fry, as feeding live food helps them grow a little faster than using powder or liquid fry food. Recommend for people who only have 1 or 2 aquariums, if you have more tanks, you will need a bigger contraption that produces more baby brine shrimp than this can hatch at one time.
