Aquila 103U Super Nulgut Concert Ukulele String Set

I'm an absolute newbie when it comes to the Uke so did a lot of looking around and these seem to be the most commonly recommended strings. First set arrived and it looked like they'd already been opened, not trusting this I messaged amazon and they sent out a new set free of charge, (in the meantime I bought a set from a local music store also) I'm still waiting for them to bed in properly, most of the strings are maintaining, but the C keeps going out of tune very quickly, hopefully that will eventually even out. So far though the tone is incredibly good, it sounds brighter than the strings that came with the Uke, and the notes seem to last longer (sorry I don't know the musical technical term) overall it's made the uke far more pleasant to hear, even with my terrible playing.

Excellent strings, they take a fair amount of stretching to settle in. Once well stretched you will have better tuning stability. Should last a long time. These were a replacement for the original strings on a budget ukulele with reasonable tuning pegs or machine heads.

Warm soundy and louder than the clear carbon strings on my uke, smooth and easy to play, settled in pretty quickly as well. I've not tried many strings but these a nice, up there with the reds for as my favourites.

Good strings,if looking for ur basic good string then go for these strings,all depends on what ur playing on ur uke

With the original strings my Clearwater Roy Smek ukulele sounded a little harsh. A set of these has mellowed out the sound wonderfully. They settled into tune very quickly. There are heaper strings, including amoung Aquila's range but these are just lovely to listen to and to play.

These are the best ukulele strings. No matter what size ukulele it's for, they always sound beautiful. They're so crisp, clear and vibrant... They're colour coded for each string so you know which string is which. And they're so so easy to fit. Best ukulele strings.

Have used these strings before, they made my Makala concert ukulele sound much better. These were for a Caramel solid spruce top concert uke, it was loud and bright already (which is what I wanted), don't know what kind of strings came with it but they couldn't hold a tuning well; the Aquilas kept the brightness and volume but added some bass and a fistful of mids, a much more balanced and dynamic tone. I was hesitant to take off the perfectly good supplied strings as they did sound and play very nicely; it was the tuning issues that made me do it. The Aquilas hold their tuning well, but don't believe the quasi-English on the package claiming that they do it within seconds (unless you count out 2+ weeks in seconds, about 1.2 million then). As for claims that the extra tension and thickness of these strings can hurt your fingers....... aww, c'mon. Yes, they are thicker with more tension (which is how they achieve their great sound), but I notice no bloody stumps where my fingers used to be; if I hadn't read a review about this I probably would have never noticed any difference (never crossed my mind with the Makala). If you want to punch up your ukulele's sound these are great, just have to be patient and let them break-in when they feel like it.

Por el precio que tiene es lo primero que debería hacer cualquiera que se compre un ukelele, cambiarle las cuerdas por estas. Suenan de maravilla y son más blandas que las que traían en mío, con lo cual los dedos duelen menos. El sonido es espectacular, mucho más cálido y redondo. Muy buenas cuerdas a un precio de chiste.

Super soft very good and very long

Great. Hold tune well. I have these on all of my ukeleles.
