On the average, the book is okay but real beginners will struggle to get grip of understanding and practising.

I was sent a fake book.

I have been using Excel for around 30 years and I was recently asked by a friend (we're both in our 70's) to show her how to create spreadsheets so that she could avoid four figure accountancy fees for her, now part time, occupation. Not only an Excel novice but also only a pretty basic understanding of her PC in general. I bought this to help her and to help me help her. I'm afraid it was far too advanced for her and was confusing me as well. I would suggest not for genuine beginners.Adding to that, the typeface was so small I had difficulty reading it and the illustrations, also in very small font, were infilled with a light grey colour making them hard to interpret too.Returned for a refund.

Print was too small and too light to be legible in most of the given examples. Book layout was very muddled and difficult to follow. Author clearly had no expertise in teaching this subject, as some prior knowledge was required for most topics. Proof reading had not been done as there were spelling and grammar mistakes
