The Studio Albums 1989-2007

Rush is a band that created some amazing music albums, music that sounds so different to the usual rock & metal bands. This collection of albums is an absolute bargain! There are a lot of popular rock & metal bands out there, but the success and popularity of these bands is often based on just 2 or 3 good tracks, with the rest being easily forgettable. However, Rush has created so many FANTASTIC tracks that I could not possibly list them all here. Iron Maiden and Queen are the "only" other rock and metal bands that I can think of that could equal the amount of good tracks that Rush has produced. Unlike many rock & metal bands, the music from Rush can be listened to without giving you a headache! The fantastic vocals from Geddy Lee, the band's instrumental talent, and the creative thought put into all Rush tracks make their music an absolute pleasure to listen to, leaving you feeling good or totally relaxed. Buy this CD album collection....and every other Rush album why you are at it!!! Yes, these days people tend to stream music, but a CD can be ripped to a variety of formats (MP3, FLAC, WAV, etc.) if needed for ultimate offline quality, or you can use the CD! CDs "could" increase in value over the years too as they become harder to find, so for me, they are my preferred option. A totally recommended purchase! NOTE: These CDs only come in cardboard sleeves and a box.

A lot better than I thought, brilliant, and good value

Great value package of all the later Rush albums except the final one (Clockwork Angels) but also includes the “EP” Feedback which has eight great covers of sixties tracks that influenced their music. That’s probably worth half of the cost of the box set on its own. As for the other six albums I can only say that they are all good Rush productions. Some will have views about this later Rush output compared to the earlier material. Like it or hate it (I like it) for barely £4 each they are great value if you don’t have them.

Once one hell of a good band challenging the best of hard rock, I bought all their albums until I found myself thinking "no more there all becoming the same" this was up till "Permanent Waves" so I gave up. Then I came to find this release and at the price thought let us give it a go. Well I have to say although not better or worse than their early output it was different. They had joined the Power Rock brigade of many others, a little disappointing at first. Then after getting through all of the music, which is a lot, and giving it many more listens, I found they can not just still rock, but still be damed good. Unlike many others, naming no names, Yes, oh sorry. Not only that they are one of the very few to survive and not bore one to death. So that they can carry on in this world and deserve to do so. Thank you for this release to help past fans catch up and realise both they and you are not yet past it. I know I only give this four stars only because it is hardly new or a classic.

Any Rush album is a good album in my opinion, and I purchased this just for completist’s sake as I am a complete Rush nerd, but anybody wanting an introduction into Rush’s later work can do no wrong with this release, 7 albums for around £20.00. Absolute bargain!

Excellent collection from a great band

Like many reviewers I gave up interest in Rush many years ago - around 1981. Liked the stuff before that, not keen at all on what they were then putting out. This was the era of metal and Rush were softening their sound and dreaded keyboards (not prog synths) were being heavily featured, Anyway this box set was an ideal chance to catch up on their later years. So glad I got this as there is a great deal of excellent rock music here. Counterparts, Test For Echo, Feedback and Snakes and Arrows have all been listened to many times. Vapor Trails, Presto and Roll The Bones are all less accessible so far. Still think the later '80s Rush is beyond reach but this set, for any similar doubters, is highly recommended!

I have been a Rush fan for over 40 years. But I listened to mostly their older albums. Signals was the last album I bought until recently. I recently decided to fill in the gaps in my Rush collection. This set is a GREAT way to buy their later albums at a great price. I am thoroughly enjoying these later works by them! I like the return to an emphasis on Alex Lifeson's guitar. And the vocals of Geddy Lee has only gotten better over the years. Niel Peart showcases why he is the G.O.A.T. drummer and one of the best lyricists ever. (Except for the song "Dog Years." but hey, no one is perfect.) These are three of the greatest Rock musician's ever! If you are like me and had their earlier albums only, this is a great buy!
