Great but range is a little poor
Does exactly what is is designed for, working great but range is not so great. So bare that in mind for placement

Easy, at a glance, to see charging state and battery condition
No issues connecting to my Victron unit andsetting up the software on my phone and getting connected. It now means that I don't have to go into the back of the van and look in the cupboard to see if the battery is being charged and at what phase. A bonus is that it also tells me the condition of the leisure battery. Has a transmit distance of around 20 to 30 feet (sorry, I old school). Screen shots are from my phone taken when connected to van 20 feet away. I wouldn't say it's an essential item, but for me, I feel it's an essential item and I don't know how I lived without one

Insights from a non-bluetooth MPPT
Adds bluetooth connectivity to a non-bluetooth Victron MPPT. Works as expected with the Victron app. I'm also using this with connectivity via an ESP32 to Home Assistant. The connector is a little large into the bottom of the MPPT so if you have lots of cables nearby you may have to re-route them as it would be easy to damage the connector if there's too much pressure on the connector.

Good product, but check your device versions carefully
Does what is says on the tin. Android app shows detailed information, and I use it on a daily basis. Just make sure that your smartphone/tablet has the right version of Bluetooth - this app worked on a Samsung Galaxy SIII, S5 and Tablet S2 but not on a Cube Talk U65GT nor on a brand new Chinese-branded smartphone. Also double-check that this is compatible with your Victron charger model - not all Victron chargers are. Expensive, but does the job, and easy to set up.

Does what it says but.....
....if like me, you've installed a Victron Smart Blue Solar MPPT 250/100 Ve.Can you don't need it as the MPPT is already Bluetooth. I bought it as the MPPT manual recommended it. That's a Victron Con ☹️

Essential piece of kit
If you have an older victron mppt without Bluetooth this is an essential addition. Plugged into my 150/70 mppt it promptly updated firmware and then showed the solar system charging conditions using the app from victron. All features of the mppt become available from Amperage charging rates to voltage controls for all stages of battery charging. Historic solar records are kept on a daily basis (via the app) along with on the spot changeable variables shown such as solar voltage, wattage, solar amperage, battery charge amperage, voltage, wattage etc. Brilliant Bluetooth addition for your solar or charging setup. Essential for monitoring systems and ensuring no overloads.
