You Get So Alone at Times That It Just Makes Sense

Even if you are not familiar with Charles Bukowski, you might owe it to yourself to get this book. It's witty, erudite, thoughtful and a great insight into the man's mind. It's a good book to pick up every now and again and be witness to snapshots of his extraordinary life. Don't forget to actually read his books though. To clarify, this book is poetry. The best existentialist poetry.

Wow. This book is amazing. Every page leaves you brethless and I have to take a moment to just sit there and admire what I have just read. Bukowski is an amazing writer and I strongly recommed this book to anyone who wish to read something amaizing that touches on everything in life an this world. Simply amzing

I started reading Charles Bukowski when a friend sent one of his poems. It is a style that I would not have at first sought out, but like Lydia Popwich and her Rush of Lava Flowers, the style has substance and draws a careful reader in.

My absolute favourite collection of Bukowski's poems. His writing is intense and real. His reflections just hit hte right notes. Realistic yet literally expressive - a thoroughly enthralling read by the world's best anti-poet of XX century!
