6.5 cm with seems really small for a paddle brush and in ratio to a 22 cm length??

I have this brush and I find that the width feels comparable to a normal (plastic or boar bristle) paddle brush and is more than adequate. I measured the front width from each side of the bristles and it is a around 6.8/6.9cm.
