I have to say impressed for the price, braided wire it's very lightweight and works with my Sony records.The connection is strong between the Jack and port so it won't come loose.The microphone sensitivity is low so you need to adjust your microphone sensitivity settings to medium that worked for me.The wind protection foam that surrounds the microphone works but it's little lose so I used some glue to stop it from moving and coming of the microphone.Sound wave photos show how the sound level change speaking on medium sound sentivity with normal talking and loud talkingWorks with DSLR, PC microphone and line in.

My initial impressions were good: i really liked the cord-like quality of the lead. It felt like quality.Unfortunately as soon as I tried to use it I was disappointed. It appeared to have a break in the wire somewhere along the cord. Jiggling the cord lead to intermittent and momentary restoration of signal.It would appear that the cord-like outer for the lead may not provide much protection for the copper running inside it!.At least the item was cheap, so I could throw it in the bin rather than faff about and waste any further time with returns.On a positive, it seemed nice with high perceived quality, was cheap, and was delivered quickly.

Like others, I was doubtful that something as cheap as this could be any good, but the reviews were fairly consistent, and at this price, what was there to lose?I have been pleased, if not quite 100% pleased, with the product (I cannot fault delivery, which was very quick, and timely).I had not expected the built-in windshield, so that was a nice bonus. My need for this was in recording audiobooks for Librivox, and I had found my headset not good for this purpose, as I was getting mechanical noises creeping in. Someone suggested a lapel mic so I thought I would give it a try.I have to say that when using it as a lapel mic, although it is a lot better than the headset from the extraneous noise POV, the voice quality was not as hoped. It seemed slightly muffled. I experimented with attaching it in different places, and finally found that it was best for my purposes on a stand on my desk, i.e. as a desk mic. Good volume, not muffled, and no extraneous noises. Actually surprisingly good quality sound for something this cheap.Other people may find it ok as a clip on mic - it would certainly be good enough for transient audio, like internet phoning or conferencing. You might want to check the quality if using it for permanent recording and experiment with optimal placement.It also looks quite robust.I've taken off a star because (for me), it did not quite work as a clip-on mic.EDIT: I should probably add that I use it in connection with a USB analog-to-digital adapter, bypassing the sound-card (I've always had better results using these adapters than the sound-card). So if anyone is not getting good sound out of it, they might try using such an adapter.

First, i'd like to compliment the delivery speed of this item. i ordered this mic and despite it being estimated to arrive 4 days later, it arrived only two days after i placed the order. this suprised me, and i was very impressed with the prompt delivery. the packaging of the item was very simple; the mic was covered with bubblewrap and sealed in an envelope. not the best quality of packaging, but the mic was undamaged and in perfect condition, so i thought nothing of it.The mic is small and easy to store and carry around. the cord length is perfect, and the clip makes it convinient to use even when you're moving around.The sound quality of the mic is pretty good. when using chat, people can hear you loud and clear. but for more complicated uses like fandubbing or recording your own songs, especially if you're a pro, then perhaps you need to consider looking into more advanced technology. The mic records perfectly clearly but there is a constant light hissing background noise. this is fine when you just want to talk with a friend or narrate a story or something, but when you're trying to do a cover for a song, the hissing gets very irritating and sounds unprofessional. I'm not trying to complain about the product; for it's price, it's an amazingly great deal! and for someone who is just starting off voice or song recording it's alright for practice. but just beware of the hissing if you're buying this mic to record a song for youtube or something likewise.

I can get some decent enough audio from this thing now that I connected it to my external sound card. Surprisingly this thing sounds better than the mic on my current headset. Quality isn't too bad for the price but it won't replace anything expensive.

Rubbish The first thing I've bought from this seller. This microphone is not working. trader explained that it meant "only" FOR SKYUPE and works only for PC .Attitude from the seller is that, like I'm an idiot and I do not know a microphone. The microphone has been tested on several computers (I HAVE 4) and voice recorders (2). But of course it does not work. Do not buy this useless things. Perhaps the seller to purchase a faulty product, or is so stupid that do not check what they are buying, but untested product marketed by us. I am angry and disappointed. I'm not angry about the loss of 5, but I'm angry at the seller's attitude. The seller is a BV-ELECTRONICS - Do not buy ANYTHING from this seller. POSSIBLE THAT ALL THEY DEALT is invalid, disposed of, or damage things. And warn your friends and relatives to avoid from BV electronics. I shopping on Amazon for year and this is the first such incident hideous Christmas eve. Do not damage yourself holiday. I see that many have given positive feedback, but my case is the truth and I'm responsible for it. Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year.p.s. As a plus is the fact that the delivery was fast, and the microphone cable is durable, BUT NOTHING WORKS.
