Instructions to help those who are having difficulty with this product or 1st time users.
I have used this product now for over 5 years (as 'Just For Men' beard dye started burning my face). There is a knack to using it that I will share below.Note: after applying and washing off, your beard WILL have a green tinge to it, the trick I find is to apply on a Sunday morning, (it takes time to oxidise), then you are ready to go on a Monday morning. For the best to results I do the following:1. Prepare the mixture : approx. 2 TABLEspoons of the main mix and add approx. 1 heaped TEAspoon of the smaller mix.Using HOT water mix the powder to a ketchup consistency, then leave it for a couple of mins while you do step 2.I make the mixture in the lid from a can of hairspray.2. Wash my beard well and towel dry it.3. Apply the mixture liberally using up + down strokes with the brush to ensure the beard is coated on the underneath of the hair.4. Leave the mixture on for 1 hour.5. Wash the mixture off in the shower, but DONT use soap or shampoo on the beard at this point (just use water!)By the next morning the beard will have oxidised and you can wash your face and beard as normal. The only downside I guess is the faint smell which is a grass/tea odour after Step 5, but I personally don't mind it (nor does my wife).I hope my instructions help those who are having difficulty with this product or 1st time users.I repeat the above every week and is part of my normal routine.

WENT FROM A SLIGHTLY GREY BLACK BEARD TO A LAUGHING STOCK - TURNED BLUE/ PURPLE
I had high expectations for this product, choosing to overlook the negative reviews—but unfortunately, that was a mistake. The instructions are poorly written and fail to mention the use of the base product. Despite this, I gave it multiple tries, only to end up being ridiculed by my peers. Instead of enhancing my slightly grey-black beard, it turned an unnatural drag queen blue/purple, leaving me no choice but to shave it off entirely. This product is not fit for purpose and should be marketed as a novelty rather than a serious grooming solution. While the concept behind it is commendable, it clearly fails for a significant number of users. Something as personal as beard care deserves a product that actually delivers on its promises. Also, no response from the company following my concerns about the colour.

The only natural product my skin tolerates
I have tried many different products, but this is the only one that doesn’t give me a rash. It’s not perfect but I keep coming back to it as the only natural one that my skin can tolerate. My beard is short and well trimmed, I am a young looking 57 y/o musician and I still enjoy looking young-ish, as I feel there is ageism in the industry. I guess I will have to stop using it when I reach 60, I am just not ready yet! Here are my recommendations:- trim and shape your beard well, in advance- apply the organic base first; I leave it for 30 mins. Be very careful that the mix is not too runny or too dry, you need to add very little water each time and mix it well until you’re happy with its consistency- make sure you only cover the hair line/area, don’t go over on adjacent skin. This takes practice but it gets better the more you do it- wash it off with cold water; i found it cools your skin, hot water seems to dissolve what you have just applied- dry it off with a dark towel (it will stain a bitAlthough it does wash off) and apply the actual dye; I am light mediterranean, and I use dark brown or black. Leave this application for 30-40 minutes- wash off well, again with cold water. As it dries a lot you will need to be patient and splash lots of water on your beard until it’s all clean- I always dye my beard two days before any important event; this is because the following day it may look a bit green for a few hours, in my case you need around 20 hours for the colour to lose the “green looks”It is true that it turns purple after a few days! That’s when I trim my beard again, at which point it will look salt and pepper, which I don’t mind, for a couple of days. I apply the dye once a week. As I said, not perfect but definitely the only product that my skin tolerates. It’s true that the skin around it goes a bit red for an hour or two, but it doesn’t cause me any itch at all.

It was worth the effort 👌
Follow the instructions and don't panic if it goes a touch green to start. It does smell like cut grass when you put it on, but it goes away quickly. My skin is sensitive and I can not use anything with PPD in it. I've used this twice, no skin reaction and it's covered my whites. It gets darker slowly, so persevere. Delighted to have found a product that works for me.
