Is the Ironcore primer the same as the primer in the kit?

Hello, there! Yes, this is the same Primer that is included in our kits.

I am looking for a primer for my laminate cabinets before painting. Will this work?

That is a great question! Our Ironcore primer is not designed for that application. Additionally, I would recommend you look into a white primer specifically designed for cabinetry. I say that as it would be easier to cover up a white than a black primer. If you are interested in our Nuvo cabinet paints, you would not have to prime as the paint has primer in it.

I need the prime for countertops but I have an existing black countertop on the kitchen bar. Can I sponge paints on it?

I do not know because I did not read anything about using an already painted counter top. If you purchase the kit it comes with all of the different paint parts. I assume that the kit has the kind of paint that you need for durable countertops. However, the clear sealer that goes on last is most important because it is needed for durability so using other type paints might be an option.
