Why didn't I buy one sooner!
I love this sander and don't know why I didn't buy one years ago. I've never really done body work other than pounding out the occasional dent in a tractor hood but i've been working on a golf cart that required some Bondo help and the pad sander just wasn't cutting it. This thing is great! If i was doing auto body work on a daily basis or for a living then I would probably have a name brand tool but for the occasional hobbyist this fits the bill perfectly.

Easy to Handle, Compact but Powerful, Accessories Galore
I have a belt sander. a corded vibrating sander; a 2 cordless orbitals; a Dremel; and an oscillating tool that does many of the sanding/polishing disk attachment. I also have an angle grinder, and all these tools work dandy... until you have something really small you need to sand, cut or polish; especially things that wouldn't do well being squeezed hard enough in a vice to hold it firmly enough to sand it effectively without tossing it across the room. This small pneumatic tool fills that void for me well and while my Dremel does a great job, my pneumo tool gets many of the things I need done considerably faster.really like the mounting system that comes with it and the "screw-on" disk attachment and rubber mounting area grips like a mountain goat. The versatility to switch to a hook/loop setup is super handy and I'm almost certain I'll make that switch when I've burned through the most frequently used attachments. The speed control is handy, although I don't use it much but that's more a personal choice and one of expediency. Finally, the small size of the tool and and ease of handling it as a result- so long as you remember it's really a right angle grinder - allows my wife to use it too when she's occupying the "Tinkerer's Corner" area of my woodshop (a small cordless rotary tool is her "go to" in the house, but when she's in the "shop," she's a pragmatist and uses what's available to her. This is a cool gift for the person who uses pneumo tools, but not everyone does so and as such, this is more a "specialty item" gift that needs a specific target recipient to appreciate it.

This is mama bear
My IR is Papa bear—a little larger, a lot more powerful (it also costs almost 4 times as much). My Dremel and Dremel-like tools are Baby bear. This unit falls in between, but a lot closer to Papa. In performance. The analogy breaks down when it comes to grip, Papa has the nicest, softest feel in the hand, and thus is the most comfortable for sustained work, still this one isn’t bad. Yes, it needs frequent oil; yes it requires more air than the best—but not so much as to pose a problem. The abrasive attachments are many and of good quality—they alone are worth the price.A great first tool, a great step up from an older tool (yes, I also have an Elder bear) and an even better back up to a Papa level grinder (it’s alway nice to be able to switch between tools than have to be changing back and forth between attachments. At this price, just get one if you use air.

Reasonable starter kit if you want a die grinder
Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.I seem to be doing a lot of heavier projects at home with a lot more cutting, grinding, sanding, and polishing. I have lots of tools to do my work but I finally decided it was time to stop avoiding pneumatic tools and get a proper die grinder. This is a nice kit. The grinder is reasonably compact. The kit included lots of discs and parts to use the grinder right away. Each disc threads on easily and with several different types and grits it is easy to find the right one to tackle whichever of my projects I am working on at home. Can I compare this to a higher end one, no, but for my DIY applications this is a nice tool to have for sure. I am glad I have it for sure.

Lots of bang for the buck!
Great little tool to have if you're a hobbyist or have the occasional need for a small surface prep tool/sander.For the price, you can't expect a professional grade tool, and there are some obvious reminders of this: the construction is fairly crude, ergonomics are mediocre at best, and on my example the branding label had already fallen off in the package. I was able to quickly forgive these things, however, because it performs just fine for me. I've already gotten some use out of the sanding discs, which with the smaller diameter and low profile, were able to fit in areas that my palm sander couldn't. The huge variety and amount of consumables that you receive almost makes it worth the price alone. There are sanding discs, stripping discs, abrasive pads, buffing discs, and flapper pads- 35 total! If you have an occasional or low demand need, this might be a perfect low cost option for you!
