will it also work for the kitchen sink?

I can't see why not. I use this specifically for the shower as it covers a flat surface really well. For my sink I use one of the metal type drain covers which slots in the gap. But this should work equally as well as it has the suckers to fix it in place.

I have a raised plug hole in my shower, it’s 1cm high and 12cm radius. Will this product work?

I think it may be OK, it's middle is slightly raised anyway. The very narrowest point (no sticky out bits) is 10cm but each long piece is over 7.5cm from the centre so over 15cm coverage. I'd give it a go - they are really useful. (I was going to put a pic of the narrowest part but it would only allow upload of videos unfortunately.)

Umbra Starfish Hair Catcher; my shower plug is 10cm and is in the corner of the shower tray with little room before the tray slopes up. Will this fit?

My plug is also in the corner with little room before the slope starts. As this has little suckers on each 'leg' and is very flexible it fits my plug perfectly. The sucker is stuck to the slope and its doing the job great.
