How to Draw Cool Stuff: A Drawing Guide for Teachers and Students

As an elementary school teacher, this is exactly what I was looking for! The written notes for the children are informative and interesting, and beautifully laid out. The step by step instructions make it easy for the children to follow along to produce really good pieces of art. The exercises in the book help them to develop their own skills. And there is a very wide range of topics, covering just about anything I would ever want to teach. In my opinion, this book is well worth buying. I can recommend it to any teacher who wants to help their children improve their drawing skills, or to anyone who wants to become a better artist themselves.

My 9 year old has been obsessed with this book! It’s really helpful and great for her to follow and copy and she’s been engrossed in it several times. Keeps her away from her devices!! Excellent choice. One of her best Christmas presents.

The product helped my daughter become more confident with her drawing and managed to get a level 4 advance in her drawing exam. But she said it was hard to understand how they shaded the drawing and how they got from 1 to 2 but overall a really good product!

My 11 year old granddaughter loved this.

I'm giving this book 5 stars because the review is about the book and not Amazon. The book is awesome for anyone that wants to learn the basics of drawing and explore the art of imagination. I bought this gift for my nephew at xmas who is 9, but anyone who is interested in learning how to draw and put what's in your head onto paper, child or adult, will love this book. As for Amazon, well, unfortunately the book, was delivered, and was obviously damp damaged as the pages were rippled. I managed to flatten out a bit, as there wasn't eneough time to send it back as it was a gift and got in touch with Amazon about it and it took a bit of a battle to get a decent reduction. I have noticed Amazon books that are unwrapped often have rippled pages. Obviously kept in damp warehouses. Has put me off buying books from Amazon :(

The book has loads of picture examples and tutorials, very easy to understand and learn from good selection of things to learn to draw. And teaches shading technique's.

The actual content of the book is as expected and definitely looks really helpful for learning to draw. However, the book was advertised as Condition: Used - Very Good but I would have classified it more as just Good! The back cover is badly damaged and half of the book has the pages bent back. I'll keep it but I'd beware of checking that the condition of the book you are looking for from this company matches up.

excellent book for my daughter

I didn't know what to expect, but once I got it and started flipping through the pages I was impressed. This is very much like an art course. Last time I took art lessons was in grade, 8 so 17 years ago. Not only does this book show you how to draw, it gives you the reasons why you're doing the current lesson. Sometimes being an adult you're both Teacher and student, so I feel this was perfect for me. only reason to buy again is a hardcover for the shelf. Very happy!
