Thrive: 6 (ADDICTED SERIES)

I fell in love with them like a bullet would fall from the sky.
Man, I've said this, but I will say it again: Krista and Becca Ritchie will never ever disappoint me with anything that they write. I love them so freaking damn much!!Now to Thrive.I love this book. I mean, I say it to every single Addicted and the spin-off books, but it's true. There's no way I can show any more of my love since I literally can't think of another word to replace 'love'. Maybe 'adore'? Okay, I ADORED this book, I ADORE this whole series. Sounds a bit cheesy don't you think? But hey, I'm just saying this to show how much my heart aches for this series, the characters and even Krista and Becca.I'm not going to talk much about this book in general, but I just want to say that this one was a bit different from the rest (good different). It was told in a long span of time, sometimes overlapping with things that happened in Kiss The Sky (Rose & Connor) and Hothouse Flower (Daisy & Ryke), and I loved every single moment of it. I always like it when I get to see things from different points of view of the same thing just to get into someone else's head.So in Thrive, it basically just goes into Lily & Lo's side of what happens in KTS and HF, but with a few more moments that we don't get to see in both of those books. This book really drives me back to the first time I'd ever fell in love with Lily and Loren. I fell in love with them like a bullet would fall from the sky.Fast and deep.I can't think of anything else to say about this book, this WHOLE SERIES, in fact. I will say it again and again, and I won't stop until everyone on this earth knows that I am completely and deeply in love with Lily, Loren, Ryke, Daisy, Rose and Connor. So yeah, here we are. I'm going to shut up about my love for this series now, and I'm just going to wait for the next epic story in this series.

Amazing Series!!!!
This series is just so good. I've loved the pain, heartbreak, sadness, loyalty, determination and most of all the passion expressed by these amazing six characters.I'm another Team Ryke fan but even I can't get enough of Lil and Lo and their special bond. Most of this book covers old ground but from a different POV and with extra background to the scenes. This means that you have to re-live some of the group's must painful memories though but the scenes are so special that you feel humbled to experience them once again. My heart was twisting so much at what Lil and Lo go through on a daily basis. I find the scenes with Lo and Ryke's father the hardest to stomach though and I hope the three-some have a change in fortune eventually.Connor and Rose are still amazing and I love the way Connor protects Lo. Rose and Lo's relationship is hysterically fractious and continues to get better and better.I can't wait to see where this story goes to next, POVs are all good and well but I really need new stories and anecdotes from this amazing cast!I still want more from Ryke and Daisy though!!!!Reviewed on behalf of Jezabell Girl & Friends....

thrive - Krista and Becca Ritchie
⭐️⭐️⭐️I know this book was basically a recap of kiss the sky and hothouse flower, I just didn’t enjoy this one at all. although I know it was so important to get lily and lo’s perspective from what happened in the 2 books before. for those of you that lily and lo are your favourite characters in this series, I guess you’d be more motivated about reading this because it’s merely about the way they’re supporting each other and dealing with their own addictions. Lily trying not to be weak and lo trying not to relapse.I felt like this book was so repetitive and it’s almost like a filler for the series because I just knew how it would all unfold because it’s the same storyline of kiss the sky and hothouse flower.I know I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would but one thing that is very clear in this book is the way that lily and lo are soulmates. there are some beautiful moments in this book as well as some really hard ones, but there was never doubt in my mind that they would truly get to a place where they would get back up after their lives throw them down.

Obsessed
Lily and Lo break my heart. Thrive really hurt.Lily is so innocent, my heart hurts for her, but her strength is incredible. She’s stronger than she even realises and I just love her so much.Lo, again my heart breaks for him. He’s got so much self hatred that hurts so much to read about. But again he has so much strength, in just putting one foot in front of the other. And it really resonated with me how sometimes the first step is to fight for your life for the people you love and eventually you’ll start doing it for yourself.I honestly adore these two so much. They love and friendship is so powerful.I adore these six people with every fibre of my being. Watching them together makes my heart burst. I adored seeing Fuel the Fire and Hothouse flower through Lily and Lo’s eyes and getting to see from Lo’s pov his relationship with Ryke as brothers grow!I adored the banter between Lo, Ryke and Connor, and seeing how much Connor loves them both!I adored seeing Lily, Daisy and Rose together. The bond of sisters is so incredibly heartwarming to watch.I’m so incredibly in love with this series, it has taken me on the biggest rollercoaster ride and we’re only half way through! I will say I am ready to finally (hopefully🤞🏼) have Lily and Lo’s happily ever after in the next book!

Fun and heartening
My only reservation toward this book in the series was that the plot basically consisted of a recap of Kiss the Sky and Hothouse Flower timeline from Lily and Lo's perspective. And it didn't bring much of and added value to the plot. However, the writing and characters were so engaging and full of humour that it was easy to turn a blind eye and still have tremendous fun with it. The covers are very esthethically pleasing.

Same story , different pov
It was the same story of Kiss the Sky and Hothouse flower but from Lo and Lily's pov. We get to know the plot with much deeper context.

Same story - different POV - boring
I read Kiss the Sky before Thrive ... as it is recommended by the authors so I basically had to read the exact same story from a different point of view. It was boring. It hurts me to say so because I love the characters so much but I wondered if I was going to learn some new things or if the re-telling was only a part of the novel but no the entire book is like that so I found it disappointing and too long. It should have been included in the other books!
