Comes with plenty. Works out cheaper than the £1per piece at supermarkets I’ve seen and works just as well.

My previous method was to take a cable tie and cut angled nicks in it with a good sharp craft knife. Stick that down the shower drain and wiggle it around a bit. Did the job pretty well. This time I just couldn't find a cable tie so I thought I'd try a solution designed for the job.I think they're a little too wide for the grille over my bath / shower plug hole. This has a pattern of circular holes and these snakes are only just able to fit through those holes. This makes their use a bit trickier than my old cable tie method. If the drain hole you're cleaning out has larger gaps to stick these down then you should be OK. They do the job and I did manage to pull out a lot of hair using it.I think I'll use these up and then go back to my cable tie method.

One star - only because there's no option for selecting NO STAR.Guiding these into the plughole - no problem. Retrieving - big issue as the hooks get stuck and bend when pulling it back out. Do NOT recommend this. Total waste of money.

I thought I would try these to see if they helped. My hair seems to get everywhere. I have just ised it on the bathroom sink and loads of hair and gunk came up. I would recommend.

Too wide for a standard plug whole

As mentioned, definitely check the sizing! These were a lot wider than I thought they would be. Fortunately they did still fit down my drain (just about!). Unfortunately, they couldn't fix the drainage issue I was having and I had to buy a metal drain snake to fix it properly.They're probably handy for a lot of people, but be aware of the size and the limited mobility (i.e. twisting them won't do much, unlike a coiled metal snake which can 'grab' the clog much better than way).

Used this today to pull out a big, gelatinous mass of old hair-dye mixed with clumps of hair from my bathroom sink. Turns out that some hair dyes form a big mass in the sink drain and gradually hair gets attached to it. This product easily removed the clog within seconds. Very easy and inexpensive. The sharp, little barbs all along the side of the product grab everything! I am very impressed!

My parents had a drain snake like this when I was a teen, so I was already aware of how well they worked. For the past few years I've been using a flexible wire with a little bristled brush at the end, which has been aggravating and it's mangled now. When I stumbled upon this listing, it was an easy sell. When they arrived I used one when I turned on the shower (I find it easiest to snake the drain when it's wet), and I got all the hair on the first try. I was so used to needing multiple attempts that I went again, but there was no more than a hair or two left to pull. Super satisfied. It's easy to remove the hair from this snake, and it rinses off great. The barbs are pretty sharp, they snagged my fabric shower curtain. I can't imagine why I'd need 12; I'm just going to start giving the rest to friends and family.
