This perfume is very much like Chanel no 5.
I love a perfume from M&S which is very much like no 5 but never seems to be available, must be very popular. So I thought to try this one on recommendation and I am very happy I did give it a go. It's a no nonsense company that makes it and is a British company. I also like their similar to Paris perfume. I will purchase again.

It changed.
I thought I knew exactly what to write for Vogue, but it has changed the more I think about it! My precious bottle of Chanel No 5 parfum is running somewhat low and, no longer being in a position to replace it, I thought a smell-a-like would make a useful top up. The more I read about Milton Lloyd perfumes, the more I thought I would have nothing to lose, and I'm pleased to say that so far none of the ones I have bought have been a disappointment. When I first sprayed Vogue (being careful not to overdo it as Milton Lloyd atomisers are renowned for their power!), I thought this was going to be my first disappointment. I wasn't expecting an exact copy by any means, but this smelt cheap and almost like it had gone off, it was verging on being sour. I resisted the urge to rush to the bathroom to wash it off because I know from experience that first impressions of a perfume are not necessarily the best ones and might not reflect what is to come... I'm pleased to say that it managed to redeem itself! As it died down over about 20 minutes a much smoother smell began to surface, the lovely powdery type scent that I relate to Chanel No 5. My nose has never considered No 5 to be floral, infact I can honestly say that I have never been able to pick out any particular smell, just one lovely overall scent. This is how Vogue became for me, just one lovely, delicious overall scent, sort of powdery, even very vaguely soapy, but very like the perfume I wanted a dupe of. It smelt expensive and I'm not ashamed to say that if anyone were to ask me what it was, I would risk getting a nose like Pinnochio to say it was the real thing!A couple of hours on and Vogue is still doing well. It has completely dried down and carries a faintly sweet, rosey smell that I have never had from the original, but it is still has that overall scent that I love. This one definitely has staying power on me. Will I buy it again? Yes, without a doubt. It is a lovely, classy perfume in its own right, and the smell belies the more than reasonable price tag. The fact that it is extremely similar to my beloved Chanel No 5 is the cream on the cake, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive replacement or who has never tried the original and would like to without spending a small fortune.

Vile. Had to scrub to get rid of potent chemical smell

Hell no! Sickly sugary sweet & very strong
Omg this literally won’t wash off! I’ve scrubbed my wrists twice with hand soap & had a shower & I can still smell it faintly! It reminds me of sugared almonds & elderly aunties - definitely not for me! Can’t fault its longevity - shame it’s sickly sweet & makes me feel nauseous 😩🤦🏼♀️

I have been wearing this perfume for years. My absolute favourite and I ALWAYS get complimented on the smell. My last bottle was different and definitely not the same. I have ordered another in hope it was a 1 off. This is a perfume I order every 2 weeks at least. For the last 7 years.I feel it only fair that I update this comment. I have ordered another bottle (actually a few) since my review and am very happy to report that the perfume I love is back. Must have been a bad batch. Happy customer 👌

Old smelling perfume, not nice.
I'm sorry to the other reviewers who like this, but this reminded me of my ancient grandmother who always smelled of strong soap (bless her). It really hits hard and gives u a sore back of nose/throat irratation after awhile. Tried to give it a hour or so to settle, but its a clinger on me and not in a good way, of all the perfumes I want to cling to me that don't, this one is stubborn, I've showered and God help me its still clinging on, I'm actually amazed at why people think it's nice, maybe in the 1930s when there was only one scent around at the time and there was no choice but this or nothing, but god I'd rather have nothing, I found out its a dupe for no.5, which is ancient itself. I have smelt it before but didn't smell bad on other people but its haunting me. I have had others from this milton range and they have all been brilliant so don't be put off from the others, or this if its no.5 you like. Right off I go again try get this stink off me!
