will the pass thru tool work with non-pass thru connectors ???

Yes. The tool will work with both.

I bought one of these already and I am planning on laying some cable now. But do I need a push down tool too?

Not if you're only adding male rj45 connector heads to the cable. The punch down tool is only needed for female jacks or biscuits that the cable plugs jnto.

I received the crimper but thee are no instructions? can you please e mail something?
