Just got this and the slide is stuck. Is there some trick to 'unstick' it or is it just broken?

Well I gig with mine regularly, and sometimes the body seems to 'flex' and then the slider goes stiff. The rear panel slides sideways and 'unclicks' and then the inner assembly comes out completely. I lubricate mine with a tiny amount of olive oil and that does the trick. I will say though - it is CRUCIAL that everything is lined up correctly when you push the innards back together. It usually takes me four or five goes before it is correct!! (otherwise bending the notes proves impossible). Good luck. BTW I LOVE this thing - it sounds brilliant amplified through a delay pedal and a PA system.

the supplier is Hohner , made in Germany, its a fantastic instrument ,which can be taken to pieces easily to clean , it takes a little getting used to , if you wanted it for 'busking' the alterative for me would be the Hohner Chromonica 270 which can be played louder , good luck , Billy.
