Very useful & great quality.
Great product for the price its in the name very handy holds wires and connectors well for soldering. Even comes with a usb fan which you could use to blow fumes away. Good quality very flexible but sturdy. Has a solid metal base which stops it from tipping. Very impressed for the price.

So helpful, very handy
I've had this a while now, and use it so much. It's been great for holding small PCB in place, or even just two wires. The base has a bit of weight to it, and has some rubbery feet, so has been sturdy enough for me and it stays firmly in place. Also has a few sections in it to place screws or other bits you might be working with. The arms come unattached, and you screw them in to the base. You can just fit the number of arms you need, or easily remove if you only want one or two in there. The arms are really long too so you can have the base far back on your work surface and the arms stretching out to what you're soldering. They're also very sturdy and stay where you put them. After several months, there's no sag at all. It also came with a USB fan to help divert any solder fumes away from you which helps.

Surprisingly large and adaptable tool for soldering with only a couple of comments
The arms are made from plastic externally and the base is cast metal, i assume aluminium as its not magnetic and its not as heavy as you might think look at it. Its a niggle to me that its not quite as heavy as i would like but its fine for the task. The arms are highly adjustable and longer than i expected, each one is around 10 inches of adjustable arm then an inch of connector to the supplied crocodile clips. A spare arm is supplied in case of breakage which is a nice touch. It also has a small USB powered fan, the instructions say this is for extracting solder fumes but honestly its very weak which is another niggle. However its supplied and many competitors are not bothering so its nice to have anyway, Overall its a good piece of kit that only loses a star for the plastic connectors holding the arms to the base (obvious weak spot), the lightness of the base which also cant be secured down with a magnet and the weak fan. None of these are deal breakers and i still recommend this as an excellent way to hold the work piece in place while soldering

Good product
Pretty sturdy and stable. The base, although not extremely heavy, is still heavy enough for most purposes and given its center of mass is in the middle, its unlikely to tip over. The fan supplied is a nice bonus, but unfortunately very weak. Overall pretty good quality and very versatile. Best for soldering and miniature craft.

Meh - about as good as you can get for a helping hand. Not saying much
Helping hands are a really quite poor category of product. So many are flimsy, fall apart, fall over, grip poorly, damage the components they grip, can't handle heat, don't have degrees of freedom to twist etc. Make no mistake, this product is a hack. It has been built out of thin crocodile clips given a wrap of heatshrink and jammed into CNC machine coolant pipes. The sturdy base is about the only good thing. The clips are disappointingly flimsy, and will deform if you attempt to rotate a PCB in them. The clips are insulated by heatshrink which the teeth of the clip will erode through after a few uses. The CNC piping does what it is good at: easy to position but high enough friction that it won't warp around the place. So really this product is ok. It'll do you fine if you're an occasional electronics hobbiest. But really it needs to have much sturdier clips each with a lockable rotational degree of freedom.

Essential item for anyone dealing with small components that wish they had extra hands!
Brilliant bit of kit that paid for itself on first use, very sturdy unlike some cheaper alternatives and any angle can be achieved. Any of the arms not being used don't get in the way or restrict access to what you're working on. Also there are 4 small compartments on the base which is ideal for small screws or electronic components. I love this tool and fondly refer to mine as Medusa, so when I ask for someone to hand me Medusa they know a tricky job is going down!

Great piece of kit…been very useful
Really easy to manipulate to be able to hold pieces for soldering. Seems pretty sturdy and doesn’t fall over. Well chuffed with it and price was decent compared to others
