FIFA 14 (Xbox 360)

This game is absolutely brilliant! I can't believe people are putting it down. The amounts of bad reviews I saw about this game made me think whether or not I should of even bought it. Thankfully, I took my gut instinct and bought it regardless to the bad reviews. I was never a great fan of the FIFA series (Mainly because I sucked at it) but this game is different to the other games in the franchisee. For starters, tactical free-kicks have been added into the mix as well as better player handling and of course the much loved Ultimate Team has improved continuously. The Ultimate Team is awesome. I ended up spending about £55 on a decent Ultimate team but don't let this put you off because I have been beaten by bronzes a fair few times:L If you are considering buying this game, consider no more just go for it. It's the type of game which will keep you entertained right up until the next title is released.

I pre-ordered this game as soon as it was up. I have had all the FIFA games and this has to be the best yet. I gave it 5 stars because no matter how long you play this game there is always something different or more challenging to keep you going. Ultimate team has improved alot. There is a few technical glitches with the EA servers but you can deal with it. I haven't stopped playing this game yet and don't plan to. I have recommended this to alot of people! I am looking forward to trying it out on the XBOX ONE. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

I must start by admitting my last fifa game was fifa12 so if something that I rate as 'new' was in the last version I apologise. The first thing I notice and instantly like is the new menu system. While it did take me a little while to work out it now means I can get back to my career mode save in about half the time it used to take. I also found the interface well suited to displaying multiple tables, stats and messages together. The game modes seem largely unchanged except for the skills section which basically gives you a mini game to play while your next match loads or you can work through them all via the main menu. These were really good fun by and large, I wasn't a fan of the goalkeeping ones but I've always been rubbish at goalkeeping. The new music soundtrack is very good, but I was a little disappointed to notice a good number of commentary sound bites unchanged from fifa12. Even just a re-record to change the phrasing would have helped. But the addition of chatter about other games going on, player transfers and retirements, and player/team performance analysis from previous matches is a VERY welcome addition to the commentary to break up the stock phrases a bit. I really enjoy the new style of player control even if it still has its limitations. The players now all have the potential for sloppy dribbling which rewards harassing your opponents and then playing a good passing game, while it discourages the tediousness of each game being a case of get the ball and sprint over and over again, like it seemed to be in fifa12. It is a team sport after all! The referees are still a bit hit and miss. I would have prefered it, for example, if off-side decisions were a little more forgiving (when the game stops because your striker's little toe was offside it seems a little bizarre. But then, referees are a bit hit and miss in real life, so perhaps I should pat ea on the back for realism? One thing that I'm pretty sure was in older versions (fifa08/09 I think) that has made a welcome return is being able to qualify for your national team in career mode. It just gives you a better incentive I think. I do have to mention the odd strange graphical issue, like rogue hair bouncing around players heads and the subs board sometimes displaying green and red squares instead of player numbers but I certainly haven't experienced slow loading or anything serious like that. And so far I haven't had the score and the players fatigue bars disappear at random like I did in fifa12. All in all I would say it is a good version with the best of what we have had, mixed with some good new little touches, to make it a little bit slicker and offers some good fun new challenges to keep us going for another year.

The game is quite good. Graphic is better than before but it is not so easy to score. But you can modify your oppo's level to have better realism. In fifa 13 was too easy to win champions cup with a level 70 team, now it isn't. It is harder to defend but the gameplay is very good, a sensation of increased realism. Not 5 stars in Amazon because of the broken box (DVD was however safe).

I have become a Fifa widow and I must say it's great to have some peace and quiet! I bought this for my partner and he spends hours in front of the TV playing it while I have time to relax, go for a bath, light some candles, pour some wine and watch one of my French films :) In his opinion it is the best Fifa to date, amazing graphics, loads of additional content and more to do from a management perspective as well as playing the games. Good soundtrack also.

Fifa has always been my favourite game, FIFA 14 is one of the best FIFA games I've played in a long time. The graphic are better, gameplay had improved and the impact engine is superb! I like the improvements made to ultimate team, career mode and even the menu screen! Makes the screen more clearer to see which game mode is which and to be honest I can't say anything wrong with this game! Buy now!!!

Great Game, Great service & 2 very happy men/boys. My 36yr old bf hasnt stopped playing since it arrived & his son also enjoyed at least 4hrs wrth of play yesterday... All in all a Great purchase... he keeps saying the extras since Fifa 12 are great including the bonus celebrations we were sent... Perhaps if we had bought Fifa 13 this wouldnt be such a big improvement but we are all happy....

Firstly, I have been playing this franchise for around 10 years, so I've played my fair share of fifas, and when I bought this game, I was more than fully aware that, in the grand scheme of things, very few changes would have been made since last year, and I was right. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT TO FIFA 13. The fact that you would be considering buying this product though means it's likely, if you did play fifa 13, you enjoyed it enough to want the next one. A lot of these reviews seem to be focusing on a lack of changes to the classic fifa formula; EA have created what most people think is the best football game on console and don't particularly feel the need to hugely alter what they started with, and how can you not agree with them? 'Don't fix what ain't broke'. You may say that in some ways fifa 13 was 'broke', and yes, the game was far from flawless. But that's where the little changes EA have made get to work very nicely. For instance, the popular method of 'tramping', a way of scoring in online matches that's considered very cheap due to the lack of skill level needed to pull it off, was something many fifa fanatics were pretty fed up with. And guess what? It's now MUCH harder in the new game. The second player in the 'tramp' doesn't usually respond to the pass across goal in time to get a clear shot away. In fact, 9 times out of 10 you are better off just shooting at goal with the original player (if you have never played fifa online you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry it's fixed now anyway). The truth is, however similar to previous titles, the game is very fun to play. The gameplay feels that little bit crisper, the teams are of course updated, and each game mode has been tweaked to good effect. In 'Ultimate Team' for instance, the most popular mode, you can now search players by name (saving a huge amount of time), online single matches have returned and there are a series of other small changes that really make all the difference like the addition of new formations and the number of division being increased from 5 to 10. There is also a new game mode, 'co-op seasons', which is like normal seasons except you play with a friend against 2 other people online, making the overall experience considerably more enjoyable and social (strictly in the context of sitting by yourself in a room playing video games). I am not trying to tell you that EA aren't lazy and annoying, they are. Very. The changes are predominantly small and not everyone who buys fifa 14 will be affected by them, plus enough people have already parted with their cash that the developers have no obligation to care whether or not you like the game (although they still should). BUT, if you are looking for a football game on the xbox 360, and won't throw a tantrum when you realise everything seems rather familiar, look absolutely no further.

Ça reste le meilleur jeu de foot pour jouer seul ou avec des passionnés. Mais pas pour s'amuser entre amis avec des personnes ne jouant pas régulièrement aux jeux vidéo.
