did good job of keeping 1.8 toyota avensis battery fully charged when not in use for 3 weeks but battery must be in good condition and be fully charged as this is not a battery charger its a trickle charger which will maintain your battery at full charge for long periods when car is not in use for long periods also will not over charge your battery like some other ones on auction sites it is well made and connectors are good quality

not so powerful and efficient as expected although i live in a very sunny country.Very well constructed but too big, without the results expected from such a size

This product is not going to charge a flat 12 volt car battery very quickly but what it does do very well is use solar energy to maintain a good charge in a healthy battery.Maintaining a charge in a leisure battery is probably it's most useful function so boat and camper van owners would do well to consider this item.Build quality is very good and I expect this panel to be able to withstand the rigours of an outdoor life.

It drained the battery it was supposed to me charging via a super bright LED that draws from the battery all the time.

Got this to try on my daughters little car. All i can say is WOW! Its easy to set up, and YES it does work. She is learning to drive so her car just sits about all the time. Then the battery goes flat. Not with this. I think we need to get one for my sons car when he gets it. Best value for money you will ever find.

Hmmm....never really sure that this was working. No indicators or lights on it to tell you if there was enough sun for it to work. In direct sunlight an ammeter revealed that it was charging (and did not draw power then the sun went in - good !) but that's not practical in most situations. Charge rate was as stated but that's pretty feeble unless you're using it to charge a small lead acid cell or similar. I appreciate that it claims to be a maintainer rather than a charger, but the rate is really too weak to make much difference. There are bigger and better ones out there.... But I guess if you've got a small power source that you want to keep topped up on the move or when you're camping then it could work well....just not really for much else.

I picked this to review for three main reasons. One, I'd already bent sent and had reviewed the NOCO G1100UK Genius charger and was very impressed, and two I was curious. Did this work as well? How far has solar energy come since the days of the Casio calculator I took to school? Plus it's pretty cool - it reminds me of something the SAS or special forces would have. Kind of like a Sat Phone. Well in my opinion, it's not quite as well designed or handy as the Genius, though it is still packed full of smart features. For instance, it protects against overheating, batteries overcharging, and being hooked up the wrong way. All you do is hook it up, stick it to your windscreen, leave it, and it'll charge your battery. It works but is bulky compared to the Genius and it isn't as robust or sturdy. Also, it lacks the ability to repair damaged batteries which the Genius has. Still, I guess, to a certain extent they fulfil slightly different roles (with the Genius needing to be close to the main to charge your battery), so this might be a good bit of kit to have in the back of your Land Rover the next time you're out on manoeuvres with the SAS.

So just in case, this bit of kit has now been added to my boot as part of my 'armageddon backpack' along with the likes of a buddy burner (one for the girl guides out there) some matches, a sewing kit and hat made out of a tin foil covered colander.

Purchased this item because I lost my licence due to a medical condition (temporary). I discovered one day that my battery had gone flat and would not turn the engine over.Debated about whether or not to buy this item. Was told by some reviewers that this is not a battery charger. This is not true. It charged my battery fully (over several days mind you), but it did the trick and is now maintaining the charge. Excellent investment! Better than spending a couple of hundred dollars to replace the battery eventually. And cheaper than running the car for a while each day to keep the battery charged.

I Dont no if this works yet or not but I'll update once I find out and use it for awhile. I just wanted to let ppl know that although this says it has an led indicator light on 12v cigarette lighter plug in the description and instructions, it actually does NOT have one. So u can read tell if its working or if u have a "live" plug in ur car. U just have to already know that ur plug is live cuz otherwise u can't tell unless u have a Voltameter. Otherwise unboxing and setup is a breeze. You just plug it all in and ur ready to go whether its plugging it into ur cig lighter or hooking it to ur battery, all the wires are included along with suction cups that are a little weak holding it to the panel, they are strong holding it to ur window but holding it to the panel itself is a little touchy u gotta really screw them in hard and even still they don't stick into the panel very strongly so either prop it up w something else just in case like ur visor or stick it the other way or screw it in, unless of course u use some glue to glue the suction cups to the panel itself. Its up to u I guess. I just used my visor to help hold it up just in case. But the panel itself looks good and so far so good. UDATE: This thing works! And works great, I didn't start my car for a week and we had a serious winter storm I had this plugged in the whole time I went and tried my car and it started right up! I love this and recommend it fully!
