Perfect and highly recommend
Simply this camera/light combo is one of the best around at the moment, I'm so impressed with this bit of kit, the light is just brilliant and has plenty of power to light up the whole road inc all the road signs from a very far distance, as for the HD camera that too is brilliant, excellent picture quality and the inbuilt mic is good too, personally im not bothered that its not a 4k cam and to be honest 4k is a bit of a gimmic over 1080p, since when has 1080p not been good enough? If you really want a 4k cam then slap another £100+ on the purchase price. I'm not a professional cyclist by any means I just wanted a high quality cam and light, this has delivered in all fronts, fully HD, water & mud resistant, built in long-lasting battery, mega bright light with tons of settings, alarm, Bluetooth and wireless, however the wireless is only to connect to your phone / lap or desktop pc/Mac to view footage or change settings, it will not connect to the internet.Comes in sturdy packaging with everything you need to get going straight away, I could bang on about this item for ages, but to sum up without going into a technical depth, it's perfect for me, an all in one tidy smart looking unit, I'm not disappointed at all and I highly recommend it to everyone, yes it's over couple of ton but you'll soon see why when you own one. Thank you to Amazon too, brillant service as always.

Faulty on arrival
Nice looking handlebar ornament. Unfortunately the unit would not turn on - it just played a short chime whenever I pressed the power button, despite being fully charged, factory reset, etc. Clearly, quality control isn't a priority. It looks well made and comes in a nice box, but that's of little consequence when the item fails to even power up. Very disappointed - will have to go back to my Virb camera and Exposure light combo.

I have some reservations, but I wouldn't change my Fly 12 for anything else
I did not purchase this from Amazon, but leaving a review here for the benefit of others. My first purchase was a dud, stopped working after a couple weeks and had to be replaced after they agreed it was faulty - which took a bit of time. I'm reviewing the replacement I received, now that I've owned it about 6 months.PRO:- combined dash cam and powerful light in a single device - super convenient for commuting, I don't believe any product competes with this one- pretty decent quality video in the day time- battery is good, considering I set it on recording and powering the light at the same time. On medium light, I get about 4 to 5 x 45 minute rides from it. On the highest light setting however, it eats through the battery in under 2 hours.- easy to use, controls are minimal and easy- inconspicuous, certainly more discreet than a helmet-mounted camsCON:- expensive- bluetooth smartphone app is junk, even technical support couldn't fix it. Tried both iPhone and Android, just refuses to work.- lateral array of light is virtually zero - you will not be seen by traffic coming at 90 degrees- attaching it to the mount requires screwing and unscrewing it with a detachable screw EVERY TIME, so you better pray you don't lose that precious screw, otherwise... you're screwed! (sorry)- heavy enough to be felt when riding no-hands, you will have to adjust your balance accordingly (unless you mount it in the centre of the handlebar)- cannot always see vehicle number plates at night, even when lit by the light. It just can't focus well enough sometimes, or display sufficient resolution. Even when pausing the footage. It depends on conditions.- doesn't save your ride as one video file, but in 5 minute chunks instead. Can be quite infuriating looking for particular incident on your route, and thinking 'which one of these 38 files shall I click first?'.- takes some getting used to to estimate the battery level as the only battery level indicator is a beep warning (4 beeps means full, 1 means low). So an error margin of 25% which isn't great, a LCD display would have been better.

Camera, light... action.
Great camera, bought a cheap camera initially and that bricked after three months so decided to get a better replacement. Had this 6 months so far. Its well made, easy to use, lasts hours, and the light is really bright. Footage is clear too. Can be a bit of a pain viewing footage on the phone, but simple to view on a pc instead. I have a 64gb card in, and it's on a loop so can record all of a long ride and the battery lasts about 6 hours for me, although the light does reduce the battery time obviously. There's a newer model out but if anyone is wondering about getting this one cos it's cheaper I thoroughly recommend it.
