Grub screws We have two identical chrome metal hooks on many of the door insides in our bedrooms and bathroom. These weren’t too cheap nor that stylish but at least very practical. To my horror the grub screw of one of these got loose and probably disappeared when the cleaning lady did a thorough job. It’s not the most obvious type of screw to replace. But luckily a wide selection of replacements was available on Amazon in different quantities. As I didn’t want to bother with measuring the correct size I ordered this mixed bag that was cheap, while I assumed it would contain a grub screw with my desired width. It did indeed. But I should have done a precise measuring job as other than I expected these grub screw also vary in length.. my replacement now sticks out by a couple of mm. And each size in the bag is of the same length. Not a big deal and I’ll be the only one to notice within the family. But still.. I’m a bit disappointed again in my own impatience. Yet the job is effectively done. It’s a good selection of grub screws for a fair price. And I have no doubt some of the others I now have will come in handy at some stage.

These repaired a cabinet door handle that had fallen off, good value for money

Needed these for door handles, wasn’t sure what size was needed and found some in here that did the job.

After losing a grub screw from the lock on my bathroom door, I removed the lock and three months later I decided I should really get around to finding a spare. A quick scan on Amazon soon presented me with a good selection of options. I knew that I needed cone point grub screws but had no idea what size. This pack of 40 mixed will keep me going, probably forever given how many I have used in the past! They are good quality grub screws, perfect for my needs, my lock is now securely replaced in the door handle. At £3.99 that's just about 10p per grub screw which seems to be pretty good value for money.

This was a great pruct but was not fit for purpose, therefore had to return. I did not find any issues with this .

Great selection

Lack of a grub screw is enough to halt a project. They're usually essential. I needed a couple to tighten some loose interior door handles. There is a good range of sizes and I found exactly what I needed for the job. The only size missing is M2 which is used for monobloc tap handles. I've ordered those separately so I have a complete set.

I needed just one particular-sized grub screw to make a repair to a damaged screw retaining collar. In the end, it was easier to make a new collar, tap it and fit one of these new grub screws to it; and have 39 screws left. I choose this pack as it was far more economical to buy it than to try and buy a small number, possibly five or ten, of grub screws of the size I needed (which might not be used); another alternative was a big pack of several hundred grub screws - but that was much more expense and most of the screws might not be used.
