Captain America: Civil War [Blu-ray 3D] [2016]

This is an amazing Avengers movie. Easily Avengers 3. Much more so than a Captain America movie. Its scope is immense, it features almost all of your favorite players, while it handles a couple of introductions to the franchise in a great way. It has amazing set pieces, capped out by the final confrontation between Cap and Iron Man, while at the same time giving each participant players his or her moment to shine. It's hard to go into the plot without spoiling stuff, but, this was, at the time, the best MCU movie to date. The Blu-Ray features the usual amazing flawless image and sound, accompanied with a wealth of documentaries, Blooper Reel, Deleted scenes and Commentary, This was the one to beat for a long time, before the Infinity war/Endgame pair surpassed it. The character moments and the way they are developed is really great. I really can't say enough good things about it. It'll make you want to go back and watch again, before the next installment shows up. Really top notch. In comedy, drama action and character sequences.

It's hilarious how many of the One Star reviews come from people who left Batman V Superman a Five Star review. It's very obvious to everyone because we can just click your name and see your review history, morons. The movie itself: Intense and exhilarating right from the beginning, and from there it cranks up your adrenaline to 11. I was annoyed back at that time of release that Thor and Hulk weren't in it, but I soon got over it when I saw just how fantastically made this movie is. It's a great action-packed thriller and well deserving of a place in any collection!

As marvel films go, this is one of the better ones, that said thus isn't a movie review, moreover it's a review on the 3D transfer of the movie. Watching this on a 65in HDR (4K tv-although 3D isnt in 4K - it's only upto 1080 HD) to have some real indication of how good or bad the 3D effects are. First notice is that the menu screen text is still fuzzy. I used the OEM glasses as well third party glasses with the same results. Doesn't bode well if even at this stage there's something amiss. During movie playback, this is noticeably not as poor but I find even with iMax that the resolution isn't always sharp ( deliberately not using the word 'pin' here) and it's pretty much the same on thus encoding blue ray. But with motion flow tweaked upto max, some tweaking of the HDR and digital noise reduction, 3D playback is not bad. There is a section in the movie in which the 3D effect cuts off, and on active 3D systems this will actually shut off the glasses that are BT connected which is annoying. This is the clip where it's reviewing black and white playback from the monitors. This doesn't happen on 3D passive systems. Audio is good. 7.1 DTS surround (no Atmos on this disk) or 5.1 dolby surround. I had this playing through the Yamaha RX A2050 amp in dts natural surround and I was quite impressed. Soundstage is focussed predominately in the forward zone but the surround effects are quite clear and accurate. On 5.1 the sound is more open but not as accurate and sound can get a bit muddy. Special features, limited on this disk itself, however there is a specials feature in the stand alone 2D disk that comes with this box set. The online download feature is quite good as well, if you intend running it on a Plex server or your own home NAS system. Sadly 3D is being phased out. So enjoy it whilst it's here. The 4K UHD disks offer much more n detail and presented in Dolby Atmos, are the way these disks are heading. My advice, buy when on offer or wait till mist manufacturers drop the 3D aspect from their TVs....but not too long as availability becomes scarce and the prices may actually creep back up and more.

Very typical high-quality Marvel 3D Blu-ray release. Like most modern Marvel CU releases, no expense has been spared in production and fans of the MCU certainly won't be disappointed. 3D effects are very detailed although not much use of negative space, which seems to have fallen out of fashion with 3D filmakers at the moment. Most of the current Marvel CU releases (with the obvious exception of Deadpool) show that it's still possible to make a great family adventure movie without having to resort to a script full of obscenities!

What can one say when you have almost all Marvels superheroes going for each other at once. Story line is a little thin but who cares introduced us to Black Panther who has an amazing car chase and bike chase. Makes you think who's side you would be on in this situation. Only let down for me was that Spidey;s character seemed to be quite childish hope the character improves in the new films. Overall amazing though almost upto Assemble and far better than Ultron.

Marvel/captain America blended into one! They might have well called this an Avengers movie rather than the third Captain America film! But....it’s super entertaining! Not as good as the winter soldier but comes close! Carries on with the storyline from that movie and adds loads of Avenger goodness! There’s a super fun cameo from a character that has been in his own movies that steals the show along with Ant-man!

all i can say is this is my favourite "clean" marvel film to date ( deadpool all time best). i was worried for this film pitting good guys against each other and who to side. throughout the film i flipped between who i wanted to win and who was right in their methods/beliefs. no spoilers here but another marvel success, DC take note this is how films are made 😀

Saw this at the pictures. The visuals on a 49" 3D 4k tv are just as good. The 3D is brilliant with no ghosting. Audio is amazing. Brilliant fresh take on the script and where the series is going. Lots of laughs and tears along the way and SPOILER ALERT. GIANT ANT MAN omg !!!

So when this first came out I refused to watch it because I wasn't that into Captain America that much. But I found out its part of the marvel time line with the Avengers which makes since because when I seen the infinity war I was very confused on a lot of things now it makes since going back and watching the 6 movies that take place before that one. This one takes place right after Avengers age of Ultron and Ant Man. I bought them in 3d. The 3d was even great. But the movie itself was much better then I originally thought for sure.
