Great book apart from the photos
This is full of genuinely interesting London anecdotes that are not easily located elsewhere. It is well written. It would get 5 stars from me if the Kindle version had better pictures (or even no pictures at all). The pictures are poorly selected and add nothing to the e-book.

a good holiday read
an interesting book and worth a holiday read, full of little odd bits of info on some of the lesser known parts of london and also the well known, history and details abound and sheds new light on the capitol city we live in and in some cases hardly know at all

Tunneks Towers and temples.
Good, informative and interesting, makes one want to visit the places mentioned in this book. Good descriptions, histoy of the sites described with detail and care, some parts truly fascinating, a very good book, one to be used as a reference book too.

Good for strange stuff
I dip in and out of this book from time to time as it contains lots of little short articles. This book is the reason why I love living in London so much, so many strange and wonderful things all on our doorstep that you probably walk by everyday without noticing!

Interesting read
Good read, another easy book to dip in and out of when you need half an hour to yourself. Found some of the information a bit lengthy and have to admit I skipped one or two entries as I knew the building and the descriptions didn't add anything for me. On the whole a good read and nice change from fiction or biogs.
