Great on performance, decent battery life
So I took a gamble with this laptop, buying it without many reviews to compare against. I haven't had as much time with it as I expected but so far it's been excellent.Aesthetics: the plastic outside isn't as appealing as a chrome finish, but doesn't look bad and I'd guess is a little kinder to a careless user like me. The lights under the keyboard are really nice, and add a little to the experience especially when gaming. The keyboard layout and shape of the whole laptop is comfortable and nice. The design on the back of the lid is cool but doesn't scream "look at me I have a gaming laptop".Performance: So far, very very good. Boots up in about 5 seconds and is completely ready to go. All web browsing, and other simple functions it obviously takes in its stride. In terms of gaming I've only played one game so far (Warhammer 2 Total War- an intensive game), which I installed on the SSD along with the OS. It plays flawlessly, with significantly reduced load times compared to any other machine I've played it on, and no crashes yet.Heat and fan: The laptop is always at a comfortable temperature, and even when I've had a game running for over two hours the keyboard never gets hot. The underneath of the laptop does get warm but the rubber feet elevate it enough that it's not too bad as long as it's on a flat surface. Good bit of heat is ejected from the right hand side when it's working hard which is slightly annoying, and the fan is quite loud when it works hard too.Sound: Good quality audio. Not very loud though, external speakers required if you're looking for volume.Battery life: really good so far (for a gaming laptop). Gets a good 4 hours as long as I'm doing nothing intensive. Gaming takes off more than half of that, as you'd expect.Ports: You're not going to run out. 3 usb's, hdmi, ethernet, a few I don't recognize.Price and value: I got this laptop with a significant discount, and for the discounted rate it's very, very good value for money. At full price it would be a laptop I would certainly consider, but obviously the market is crowded.Other notes: you get laptop, UK and US charger, and that's it. I guess this is standard these days but for example it has microsoft office installed but without the product keys, rendering it useless unless you fork out again. Worth a mention I thought. It obviously takes a year or so before you Really know if a laptop was a good buy, but from the first month it's serving me very well.

Broken on day 1
Spec rally good for the price, however the battery appears to be goosed already. Had it a day, spent all day updating, only realised late on that he battery never left 0%. Really disappointed, wasted a entire day on this piece of rubbish.
