Nice - does what it should

I hate mussels. However, my wife is partial to them and so I thought this would make a nice treat. I don't belive you could cook in it too many times (or if it is even designed for that), but it is perfect for warming and then placing the finished mussels in. Empty shells can be jettisoned in the upturned lid, and it is easy to wash.Looks authentic, works a treat and makes my dining room smell like Grimsby seafront.

Perfect item to have

You can use any large well made pot for cooking mussels as I've done for years but this one is more pleasing to the eye and adds a degree of authenticity to the operation. It doesn't necessarily enhance the flavour of mussells, that's down to their quality/freshness and the wine used to cook them in, but it sure looks good on the stove and once emptied and cleaned it fits most heads so you can become Mr Mussel and entertain the kids.

My wife really enjoys mussels and this is the ideal vessel in which to cook and serve them. Once cooked the top is used as a "waste shell container" prior to disposal. Good quality, price ideal and serves the purpose admirably.

this item was a gift for someone who loves mussels. the pot & lid are great for cooking the mussels. The lid is great for putting the shells in whilst eating the rest of the mussels. similar to those which mussels are served in abroad. greatly appreciated by the recipient & unusual gift that they themselves would not have thought to purchase. the item was delivered fast & packaged well.

I bought these after a holiday we drove to in northern France. They’re great and practical. I use them directly on the Aga hotplate. Not well used but lovely
