I recently installed the Basenor behind-the-screen storage box in my 2026 Tesla Model Y Performance, and it’s been a fantastic addition. The fit is absolutely spot-on—no gaps, no rattling, and it slots perfectly into the space behind the central display like it was made for the refreshed Juniper design. What I love most is how it lets me offload smaller items (sunglasses, charger cables, cards, etc.) that I used to cram into the glove compartment or center console. Now those stay hidden and out of sight, keeping the interior looking clean and minimalist—Tesla’s signature vibe preserved. It’s completely concealed from view when you’re sitting in the cabin, which is exactly what I wanted for privacy and tidiness. The build quality is impressive—sturdy materials with a nice non-slip surface that keeps everything secure even during spirited driving (this is a Performance model, after all!). No weird smells, no cheap plastic feel, and it installs in seconds without any tools or adhesives. If you’re tired of clutter in your glovebox or want discreet extra storage without sacrificing the sleek look, this Basenor tray is a no-brainer. Very happy with it—highly recommend!

This behind-the-screen storage tray is one of those accessories that feels like it should’ve come from the factory. I tried THREE different brands of shelf. This one is far and away THE BEST. It has only ONE FLAW. The lip is too short. If you drive up a San Francisco hill everything falls out. Yes we have hills like that in Salt Lake City. As you can see in the photo I fixed that problem and now love the shelf. My "chapstick" and flashlight do not ever roll out, even when I am driving too fast over Guardsman Pass or anywhere else in the mountains. Here is my very simple fix. I cut down a USPS priority mail envelope to fit under the mat and cut down the fold to form a 1" lip. Then I covered everything with black electrician's tape and taped the lip to the outside of the shelf box. Not too pretty but it works and having this shelf changed my life. Everything I need is easily accessible. I hope BASNOR makes a new mat with a much larger lip and sends me one. I would be more than happy to pay for it, just to have something that matches Tesla quality. I can't understand why other people aren't doing this. BTW: This shelf is EASY TO INSTALL, just make sure the arrow on the strap points toward the trunk. It fits nice and tight and rides well. It it is hard to install you are trying to put the strap on backward. Remember you do want it tight.

Be sure that you are okay with the shelf extending 2.5in downward where your knee is. This was a perfect fit for my 2024 Highland M3 and only took 2 minutes to install. You do not need to uninstall anything factory from the car either. This makes it great if you want to remove it for any reason. I will also say that the inside is plenty wide enough that I can easily reach and touch the end. The mat is removable and can be cleaned easily. The color matches the stock trim I also had. The only reason I would tell you not to get this is if you could not give up 2.5in under the display.

I really wanted to like and use this under screen shelf, but unfortunately it does not fit my Tesla Model Y Performance. Maybe Tesla changed it up with the black headliner, but there is a gap and the arm cannot reach the screw to secure the shelf. The quality of the shelf though is top notch. Hopefully they have an updated version to address this, but I had to return it.

Fits perfectly in the Model Y 2024! Rubber design is the same as the pattern on the original Tesla Rubber all-weather mats. The sticky glue strip on the back did came lose with pulling of the non-adhesive strips, but could easly be placed back!

Ich bin super zufrieden mit dem Aufbewahrungsfach von Basenor für mein Tesla Model 3. Endlich habe ich eine praktische Lösung gefunden, um all die kleinen Dinge, die sich sonst immer in der Mittelkonsole oder im Handschuhfach sammeln, ordentlich und griffbereit zu verstauen. Das Organizer-Fach passt wie angegossen hinter den Bildschirm und bietet genau den Platz, den ich brauche. Das Einbauen war total easy und das Fach wackelt nicht rum, auch nicht auf holprigen Straßen. Meine Sonnenbrille und der Autoschlüssel bleiben da, wo sie hingehören, ohne zu verrutschen. Sieht auch noch schick aus und stört die Optik vom Armaturenbrett überhaupt nicht. Saubermachen ist auch kein Problem, wenn's mal sein muss. Für mich ist das Aufbewahrungsfach eine echt durchdachte Sache, die zeigt, dass auch Kleinigkeiten einen großen Unterschied machen können, wenn man ein aufgeräumtes und stylishes Auto haben will. Ich finde, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt und kann's allen Tesla-Fahrern empfehlen, die öfter mal was verstauen müssen. 👍🏼

Install was extremely easy, and the fit is perfect. The feel of the silicone is great, no imperfections, and the tray looks like it belongs there. Ample space to use the wireless charging pads. A great convenience to store wallet/keys when you get into the car!
