Works brilliantly
Let’s start with the positives - and why I give it 5 stars. If you have a flea problem you can tell by the sticky and, if you don’t? Well there’s nothing to see. You may still have to flea treat as not all the fleas would be so helpful to jump on the sticky - and they ARE sticky. Negatives are that they will catch anything and everything. I’ve had to put spiders and bees out of their misery and once had to pull a mouse off which did survive to tell the tale. One of the cats also had to one pulled off its rear end. The main negative is the legs on these things regardless of which brand they’re sold under. The bits on the ends are hopeless as they bend or break so easily. I’ve bought more units simply because the legs on the current ones are wrecked. There’s nothing else to go wrong except replacement bulbs and stickies. PLEASE someone sell spare legs for them!

Dreadful!
The instructions are dreadful. Trying to work out how to assemble it from the tiny pictures was not easy. After I attached the bulb I put it inside the hole of the trap. It was impossible to put the bulb inside that trap it was very loose and would not stay in place. The sticky part didn't fit properly. I peeled off the backing and placed it in the trap. It wouldn't stay in place. It kept on curling up at the edges. I finally gave up trying after it kept on sticking to me. I threw the whole thing out. In my opinion it was a complete waste of money for me.

Does the job
I currently have an infestation due to a cat that sheds flea dust everywhere! I set it up on the floor next to the sofa and within a couple of hours had 4 big, fat fleas on the sticky pad. Anywhere I set it up, I get the fleas out, so it's a great bit of kit. Pros: - Attracts fleas and keeps them stuck to the pad - easy to see if the lamp is effective or not - The light from the lamp is a buttery yellow but not harsh or too bright - Good value for the use I get out of it - Personally I've also caught a bunch of fleas I saw hopping around my floor by plopping the sticky pad down on them and just trapping them that way Cons: - Obviously, won't get rid of any eggs in the house - I have some loose skirting boards and some small gaps in the floorboards so I treat those with clove oil which helps - Really small fleas don't seem as attracted / able to actually get onto the sticky pad - You need to keep other breathing heat sources out of the room - so keep yourself and your pets out whilst it's running - ideally the lamp should be the most attractive heat source in the room so that it can do its job - The lamps are a bit fragile, store the kit carefully Would definitely recommend - it certainly works for me better than any sprays have - and works best when spray is used to force fleas out of hiding, in my experience most of them end up jumping to the sticky pad as the only seemingly safe area in the room.

Honest revieq
I ordered two of these as my cat is allergic to the flea treatments which go directly on his neck. I have been using sprays and powders in my lounge to make sure we stay flea free, he also wears a flea collar which his skin/fur can tolerate. I wanted to try something a bit different so when i saw these I thought they might be worth a try. They arrived and the packaging looked professional enough. I opened the first one up and put the main frame together with no problem, however had noted that the materials used were of a lower quality than I was expecting. It then came to the point of adding the light fitting. It looked simple enough but the bulb took a lot of manipulation to fit into the fitting. I was very concerned that too much pressure would result in my hand being cut by shards of broken lightbulb, fortunately it didn`t come to that. It works okay but every time I move it I have to refit the bulb so that it works. I would recommend spending your money on something different unless the quality improves. I will just add that while it is working it does attract any fleas that have dismounted your pet and the sticky pad stops them from spreading breeding or tormenting our four legged friends.

Seems like a good trap
Bought this after we were lent a sofa with fleas. I kept getting bitten, and didn't want to spray as I have a little one. Can't say if it really worked or not, it never visually captured any fleas before I stopped getting bitten. Logically though, I can see it would work. The pads are really sticky and the light is warm so should attract the little critters. If you have an animal with fleas though, I really wouldn't recommend this product. From a previous pet owner, there is no way this would resolve a flea problem. If we still had my poor old pooch, I would absolutely have treated her instead of purchasing this. If that doesn't work, get help from the vet instead. Might be more pricey, but it will help and be cheaper in the long run. If like me, you just had a few jumping round and don't want to risk an infestation, I would absolutely say give it a go. I'm glad the problem resolved for us without seeing any captured, but should the situation arise again I'd definitely get this trap out. Just be prepared that it may take some time as you'll want to encourage the eggs to hatch and get trapped for a week or so before being sure you've got on top of it!

Does work
Been getting bites on my ankles whilst I am at my PC, don't know what insects are doing it. I was skeptical about buying this because of the low price and even more skeptical when I had put the few parts together, it looks cheap and tacky. Looks like a cheap upside down lamp with an adhesive bottom. There are no setup instructions included other than the regulations leaflet as its an electrical device. But saying that it's pretty simple to setup. The only thing i was worried about was the lamp being so close to the adhesive, that is would there be an odour from the adhesive, there is none. It does not even get warm. There are only 3 adhesive stickers included, there is a card included that can be posted to send for more, but any strong adhesive stickers would do, amazon has them. I have been using this for a few days and it has caught 2 insects, one is black and the other red, don't know what they are but look weird under a magnifier, so it does work, cable is about 5 foot.

Broke being put together bulb blew after 2 uses
Flimsy plastic one side broke being put together I could still use it with one broken side and it does work to get fleas However bulb blew after two nights use as well Expensive for two day use and flimsy plastic If the bulb hasn’t blown so quickly I’d of been happy as did catch a lot of fleas in the two nights Shame it broke as having a flea issue with cats and drop on ( vet supplied ) has stopped working Apparently fleas can become immune to it after a while This was an alternative until I could get to the vets

BETTER Than Anything Else I've EVER Used For Fleas!
I thought I would buy one of these to see if they worked, as it's not a big investment. These little units are amazing! Our cat gets a spot-on treatment every month which she hates, but is much better than us getting fleas! We have had a couple of breakouts even although we give her that. I seem to have quite a severe reaction to the bites and also get a lot more bites than my husband. So I bought one of these after the last breakout, and Wow, they attract a lot of fleas. My vet friend told me, they are almost impossible to eradicate, because they get down behind your skirting boards and multiply etc.. So I went back and bought another 3 units with extra bulbs and sticky pads, to put in all the rooms she goes in to. The only downside is, that they are quite fragile. It doesn't take much for the bulb to stop working, which seems to be from a rather slack connection my husband says. So he has been able to sort that connection on each of our units, which is good for us, but not great for anyone else who is not as handy as he is.. I have written to the company with this information and hopefully they will fix the problem for good! Unfortunately some other bugs also are attracted to it, usually moths (which like to destroy my clothes) so I am okay with that at the moment.
